JapanYuki-san the owner of the guesthouse is one of the kindest and fun persons I met in Japan. Who cares so much of the well being of his guests. On top of that the guesthouse is so clean and cleaned by him everyday. Whenever you have questions you can ask him and he will help as much as he can. You can enjoy your stay and also if you like you can have nice and interesting talks about many topics with him. I will book this place at my next stay in Kagoshima again. 11 out of 10! Exceeded my expectations by far (:

Friendly helpful staff who used translation app to make sure we could understand
24 hour baths so when I woke up in the middle of the night I could go down and soak for awhile.
Beautiful breakfast.

Outdoor onsen next to car park so it was necessary to walk out in the cold (1 minute) before getting to a bath. But by gosh the onsen water was hot! After our bath we were so toasty and warm we could have walked around in our yukata for ages! Fantastic location of hotel as next to Lawson and main info area. Good kaiseki breakfast served by genuinely warm and lovely obasan. Friendly. Just opposite a great bbq beef restaurant.

Staff are very friendly and the room is spacious and clean.
Great view without any blockage.
For drivers, there are limited parking lots.
The breakfast and dinner are great. Lots of selection and well presented.

2 roomed chalet with Japanese bedroom and kitchen with western dining table. The ensuite was off the kitchen. The place was poorly insulated but the heating worked well. Free parking was 10m from the chalet.
The hot spring baths were segregated and very hot. There was one pool each side about 3m x 4m. I didn’t like that you could see into the ladies changing room through the flimsy curtains. The landlady spoke little English but was helpful.

Very clean, nice staff, good parking right out the front of our room, good wifi, good hot water, quiet location - until 8.30am (then there was a bit of noise from the army base across the road).
