Hotels with Parking in Tuamarina

Intriguing combination of an old, historical building with the enthusiasm of its young, warm owners

We stayed overnight in 13 different hotels and b&bs during our 3-week stay in NZ, and Tree Tops was far and away our favorite. On a map it looks a little out of the way from the wineries in Marlborough, but it’s not. It’s a relatively short drive to get to the valley vineyards surrounded by beautiful tall mountains. The location of Tree Tops near the peak of a mountain surrounded by the owners’ land gives a sense of seclusion with killer views of the ocean and cliffs in the distance. The cottage itself is cozy within and equipped with lots of thoughtful extras for a great night’s sleep. Right outside the unit are stunning flowers and fruit trees lovingly tended by our hosts. Jon and Bianca couldn’t have been any more welcoming. Fingers crossed that you experience starry nights like we did so you can see the Milky Way and the Southern Cross.

The hosts are very available, knowledgeable about the area and friendly. The property was quiet and lovely to relax in. The cabin was very clean and very well appointed. We booked their electric bikes for a day to ride over to some cellar doors. And aside from a sore bottom from not being used to biking it was great fun! The delivered breakfasts were a special treat.

Really friendly staff, room was very comfortable, room and facilities were very clean. It was a great stay for us and our 2 young kids. We definitely recommend. :)

Gardens and scenery was incredible. Fruit trees- lemons, apples, oranges, pears and blackberries too. Beautiful flowers.

Anne was a gracious host and her place was beautiful and comfy. The bed was super comfortable, water glasses and a fan and bedside power. Bathroom was beautiful. I was only able to stay one night. It I would for sure stay there again

Pretty much everything. Spectacular location overlooking a vast vineyard and rolling hills in the distance under clear blue skies. The caravan was top notch - the first time I've stayed in one and I enjoyed every minute of it.

The facilities are great, very comfortable beds, bathroom modern and clean, lovely shower. Location is ideal, walk to town. The proximity to the railway line was not a problem.

Location amongst the vines, private and quiet
