South AfricaWhen we arrived, there was some urgent construction underway to improve the units. While this caused a bit of disruption to our stay, we decided to check out a day early and informed the team.
To our surprise, they took the initiative to contact Booking.com on our behalf and arranged a refund for the final night. On top of that, they offered us an additional $50 as a gesture of goodwill. They weren’t obligated to do any of this, and it truly reflects their commitment to excellent service.
What could have been a disappointing experience was completely turned around by their responsiveness and care. The hosts were quick to respond to any queries, the location is fantastic, and the rooms are comfortable.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to service—and in this regard, they truly excelled.

SingaporeThis property is cozy and adorable. It is perfect for both families and couples and gives the perfect amount of nostalgia for the Tahoe I remember as a kid. The family that operates this property is so helpful and kind and makes the whole experience feel like you are visiting friends. My kids loved the s’mores around the fire pit at night, playing cornhole with new friend, the vintage games inside the lobby, and the free flowing hot chocolate. My sister and I enjoyed the bikes available to take out the bike trail to Tallac House right outside the door and the thoughtful and unique touches to the decorations in each room. We love Fireside and can’t wait to come back next summer.

I have been trying to locate you to get a refund because we never stayed at this terrible place. I would not have stayed there even if they would’ve let me stay free. It was the worst place I have ever seen. There was not one car in the parking lot From the outside it was a nasty dirty place. We asked to look at the inside. It was a disgrace to be honest with you. I don’t think nobody would’ve stayed there and I expect to get a refund.

Location close to several food outlets and boat hire. Staff were informative and very friendly.
Room was big cabin style interior with TV, fridge and comfortable bed. Free parking.
Would definitely stay here again.

The location is fabulous, near the main street, you can do a lot just by walking around. There's also free parking on the lot.
The room was very spacious and cozy, with a full kitchen available.
I was able to do the whole check-in with the lodge remotely, so never really had to talk to the staff face to face.

Although it seems dated it had a really nice charm to it. Double shower and double bath was a first but made it intimate and enjoyable. Bed was nice. Free parking and location was brilliant

Nicely positioned affordable motel right off the central main street in South Lake Tahoe. Trenton the manager gave us a great couple of recommendations for dinner which were only a short walk away. Plenty of parking. Great bagels and plenty of coffee in the morning for breakfast, but fruit hadn't been delivered that day. We were invited to leave our car parked after checkout while we explored the town

Good location right next to heaveny tram, and also we definitely liked the free valet parking Rudy greeted us when we arrived and he was awesome. The hotel has gaming room and coffee bar which was closed when we were there but they had coffee in the lobby overall will stay here again next time we go to south tahoe. Will recommend it to my friends n family
