Constantia View exceeded our expectations. We took the time to read the listing in detail, and there were, therefore, no surprises. Our unit (the Africa Unit) was modern and beautifully finished with an eclectic mix of furnishings & ornaments. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was great to have access to a pair of barbeques, one gas and one charcoal, on which to braai in the evenings. The staff on the premises were excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. The owner had indicated by way of a letter prior to our arrival that she would be on vacation during our stay, but this did not stop her from ensuring that we had everything we needed. Toko, the housekeeper, was very helpful, as were the two gentlemen working on site. There was ample parking off-street, and the high walls and large gate at the front helped to make one feel secure. This is important when travelling in South Africa, and special care has been taken in this regard. I discovered that I could walk from the apartment gate for 0.5km and enter the Groot Constantia Wine Estate at a gate near the staff quarters! This was amazing and highlights just how well-located the place is. All in all, a 10/10 experience.

I loved the sheer amount of plants and how welcomed and safe I felt. I was warmly welcomed by the kind host and shown around. The room is quaint, but spacious and fitted with everything you could need as well as having a view of a koi pond from the bath and the bedroom which you can listen to if you open the windows. There is also safe parking behind gates. The house also smells lovely at all times.
