The location is perfect, we loved our stay. It was really modern, well decorated. The staff was super super helpful. They arranged free shuttle pickup for us from the airport. The best part of the hotel is the cats, kittens but also the most adorable dog they have.

The staff were really friendly and so helpful in booking all of the park tickets in advance. Every evening they sat with us to discuss our itinerary for the following day. They helped organize transport too. I would highly recommend staying here.

Location was good, the bed was amazing and overall the room

The owner is the sweetest lady who will tell you about three different routes you can take and help you buy the tickets. Any questions you have, you can talk to her or another lady working there.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They arranged pickup from the airport, which made everything very easy for us, and they also helped us get tickets for the parks we wanted to visit. Overall, the service was excellent and the staff really went out of their way to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location was great, they responded very quickly to our messages, the room had everything we needed, and it was super cheap. The staff even spoke fantastic English which was the first time in China we did not need to use translation apps in order to check in to our hotel. Fantastic.

Kindest and most helpful staff, the beds are nice and clean and the laundry in the bathroom is really convenient! They offer to help you with everything and the location is great to be near the lively city area.

The staff, especially Lucy at the front desk, were very helpful and accommodating. Room rates were reasonable. The rooms were spacious, as were the balconies. The rooms were clean and housekeeping always did a thorough cleaning whenever we returned. They also replenished the water and toiletries always. Breakfast was fine—not a huge variety, but it works if you’re not picky. Location is convenient , just 5 to 10 min walk to reach wuling road.

Extremely helpful owner that went above and beyond. He spent so much time explaining the best routes to take, laid out how much time each part of the park will take and all the prices for cableways and alternative paths. Also let us know the parts of the park that are currently closed so we don't waste any time. There is a microwave, he will put any items in the fridge for you, and also kindly helped us figure out laundry on the roof. Location can't get any better, dozens of restaurants in the area and Zhangjiajie gate was exactly a 5 minute walk away.

The hotel is located in front of the river, close to a main street with a lot of souvenir stores and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and made sure to explain to us the region and how to make the best of our tours (we had already booked the tours when we arrived there, but if you don't, they can help you doing that).

Hotel California Zhangjiajie turned out to be a cracking little spot for our trip. It’s in a dead handy location, with the railway station, bus station, and Tianmenshan Cableway all within walking distance, and the airport just a short drive away. The rooms were spot on, with air-con, a hot shower on tap 24/7, and free Wi-Fi. But what really made the stay was Jerry, the host. He was absolutely brilliant, answering all our questions before we even got there and sorting us out during the trip. Nothing was too much trouble for him. With all that and the handy extras, it made the trip a lot easier. If you’re heading to Zhangjiajie, this place is a proper gem.

Emer was a wonderful host! She really ensures there is a good vibe and will match you up with other travellers (if you want of course) so you can do activities together. Large, clean rooms and you can do your laundry for free as well which was needed ;-) Amazing, social place to stay and I even booked extra nights here as I had such a great time here. Don't look any further - just book here!

It is brand new situated 2 minutes away from the national park middle gates. The room was stunning both for the view and how modern it was with smart room control using voice commands. This place is run by an ethnic family within Tujia village and everyone was so kind beyond expectations. We were picked up-dropped off to and from the park as well as airport. The food in their restaurant was grown on the property with local dishes that we ate every night. Everyone took the time to respond immediately on WeChat if we had any questions. We even got to use the room for a shower before we left for our evening flight.
