Everything was really good houses where beautiful

We loved absolutely everything: location, SPA center, restaurant, house, and personal attention towards us. We spent a wonderful weekend far away of crowded places. The price was good as well.

Wow! Such a fantastic, comfortable, and welcoming hotel! We spent three nights at the end of our three weeks in Spain and would have been happy to stay longer. Mother and daughter, Paula and Megan, are wonderful hosts and a delight to get to know. Make sure to plan for dinner and breakfast there as Megan is an outstanding chef. Our meals were fresh, creative, and so attentively prepared, the best we had on her entire trip.  The hotel has super comfy beds and spectacular views and is easy to find with parking on site. Berchules was a charming village to explore and we loved the 25-minute walk down to the river with a place to picnic, read, or wade in the water. We highly recommend this hotel. On a side note, the drive to Berchules is an epic drive on a comfortably winding 2 lane road. Plan to give yourself plenty of time to savor the views and photo opportunities.

This was a truly exceptional stay. We easily got into the property, and were immediately charmed by the rooms and ample sitting space. Our delight was even greater when we saw all the kitchen material, spices, foods and drinks that were already present in the kitchen, available for us to use. Finally, extremely fast WiFi is available (fiber). If we ever need another getaway, we would definitely consider this place again.

We LOVED this place! Owners Inga and Louie bought a 20-year neglected building and did a prodigious amount of work turning it into a stunning, rustic, rural lodge. Every room has a different character and layout. The walls, indoors and out, are beautifully decorated with art and craft. Two covered terraces and a large outdoor area are very inviting and take in an expansive view of nearby mountains. Two (!) well-equipped kitchens mean you can cook away to your heart's content. Parking is ample. There are a couple of dogs you can interact with if you wish, as well as a horse and donkey. You can hide away in a corner or interact with other guests. English is spoken. And last but certainly not least, there's a plentiful supply of complimentary oranges from a tree in the yard AND an electric juicer. Terrestrial internet can be spotty in this rural town, but cell service is good. We didn't want to leave, and at only 49€/night for two (Sat/Sun/Mon, early March), we didn't need to. Ugíjar (roughly pronounced oo-HEE-har) is a remote, rural town that has made itself quite interesting to tourists, Dona Concha is certainly off the typical tourist track, but destined for greatness. Get there now while it's still humble.

The property is lovely in quiet village, with exceptional views and hiking trails. The ambiance, the cuisine made onsite with local products is exceptional, the hosts are so knowledgeable, all staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a quiet pool area and common room and kitchen where we could make tea and coffee or enjoy a glass of wine. The dining room and terrace are lovely. We loved the long hikes, exploring the village, visit to traditional silk weaver, paella demonstration, and tour of the finca. A wonderful 3 days!
