Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Porlezza

The hotel is excellent in every way. Breakfast is fabulous! You can enjoy it inside the wonderful breakfast restaurant or at the patio with amazing lake view. Staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel has beach towels for their guests that you can take to the beach. The water in the lake is crystal clear, and its temperature is comfortable for swimming. My request for the room away from the traffic noise was accommodated, so my window was not facing the lake directly but still had an amazing view. It was not about only a beautiful scenery but also about a tranquil environment. The town is surrounded by pristine alpine nature, and the hotel’s environment is in tune with it which makes it great for a quiet remote work or a spiritual retreat. I came by a couple of churches out of several in town, and was amazed by their baroque style interiors. Staying at this hotel was a nice break in my exploration of major sites in the lake district but it is certainly worth making it a base of the trip instead of transit. It is about an hour to Lugano by car or by bus, and only a half an hour to Menaggio. You can enjoy attractions of both lakes during day trips from the hotel, and have no overnight parking complications compared to hotels in Como.

Very good location and a clean property with full equipped kitchen.

This location was a complete surprise. I needed something close to the Swiss border and I wanted to be able to walk around town. And hike nearby. At first I was surprised to see that our room was actually a mobile home in a very active mobile park. It was great. The very helpful staff answered any questions and anticipated my needs. The space was private and quiet. With a view of the mountains. I loved the big deck for lounging. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. We were close to the lake front. And there is a bar, cafe and restaurant on the property. Walking distance to the old town and groceries. I can't wait to return to this quiet lakeside town.

Great location, property, restaurant, staff

The location was good, an easy walk to the lake and into town. It had most of what we needed and also beach chairs were provided at the office in the morning.

Very friendly owners. Spacious in a great, central location with free parking. Everything within walking distance. Aircl conditioning added to comfort. Great value!

Anna was a gracious and friendly host. Not only did she pick us up in the next town upon arrival, she also dropped us off at the Lugano train station upon departure. The location works well for those wanting to visit both Lake Lugano and Lake Como. We found the apartment quiet, well equipped, and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The house was clean, comfortable, and we even got homemade cookies. Kids loved the bunk bed. The place is on ground level, easy to access without stairs. Communication with the host was easy. We went there by car and got our parking space. Thanks!

Very comfortable and exceptionally well equipped apartment. Many nice surprises, including snacks, beverages and free food in the kitchen. There was everything you could need in journey. Even a possibility to use bikes (though we didn't).
