Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Al Quwayrah

Worth the 4km off-road from the main road on the way to Wadi Rum (and/or as complementary day to the Wadi Rum experience). Compared to Wadi Rum, this experience was calm and authentic outside of the touristic paths. it's a beautiful spot, Jaffar and Julie cooked wonderful food and we had a good evening chat. Sukran!

Clean and the staff are cooperative

The staff were so friendly and the place is clean and beautiful the food is great and the truck tour was amazing!! My overall experience is wonderful and worth every penny.

Linda's Camp is truly amazing! They provided us with a complete program: a Jeep tour, a stargazing tour, a sunset tour, and a sunrise tour. Dinner was delicious, and the room was comfortable and clean. I highly recommend it. Thanks to our friend Ahmed!

Wow what an incredible stay I was blown away! Ali is an incredible host and I had such a comfortable stay. You really get to experience an authentic bedouin lifestyle. The room was very clean and had everything I needed. The tent outside was a nice space to hangout in too. The included breakfast was so great. fresh bread and a variety of local foods, including olive oil stright from their trees in front, and the tea was so delicous. Its in a smalll local village, and you can walk right into the desert (although its enormous). Ali was able to arrange tours at a really good price, and could add home cooked meals, evenings by the fire. You dont just book a place to sleep, its an entire experience. Highly reccomend coming to Wadi Rum and styaing here, you're away from all the tourist trap stuff and prices, and get treated so well

Everyone who wants to visit Wadi Rum MUST READ this. Jabal Rum Camp (JRC) is one of the few camps that is ROAD ACCESSIBLE ie you can drive there with your rental car (standard insurance will cover). Most of the others located in the desert are not. The host will try to scam you as follows: they will MISLEAD by advertising that free parking is included. This makes you think that since you can park for free, you can therefore drive to the accommodation. However, they will eventually tell you to meet at the free parking lot at the village from where they will drive you to the accommodation for say JD20 per person, which they would waive if you join their tour. If you should decide to stay with them but not join their tour, you would find out that the JD20 quoted is for ONE WAY and only when you are done with your stay and need to go back to the village, by which time you would have no choice but to cough up the additional money unless you want to walk back to the village. Should you ever decline their transport and say that you will drive to the accommodation yourself, they will discourage you by telling you that your car might get stuck in the sand etc. If you insist, the lies will start coming, including how the police will arrest you for driving in the desert (not true, no such prohibition). This transport arrangement is essentially set up so that you are captive to their tours for which they will fleece you for it. The "free transport" is just bait and switch. Another tell tale sign of such a scheme is that their actual location/address is never revealed, even after you have booked. Not so with JRC. The host is honest and you are free to go with any tour operator. JRC is associated with Qusay, a tour operator (JRC will connect you with him). I went with him and his price is reasonable and he is an honest guy to deal with. You can also go to Disah for meals. With the other camps, you are stuck with their meals and will be fleeced.

An excellent place, food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Abdul Majeed, he is the best guide and knowledgeable about the area and the desert.
