Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Nikko

Hotel Iroha was exactly what I was looking for- ryokan traditional tatami beds, onsen facilities, good WiFi, clean rooms/restroom, and on the bus routes to all of Nikko’s iconic waterfalls/nature sights. The owners/hosts were the kindest lady/gentleman pair- and so helpful with check-in, directions, and onsen usage. Can’t recommend enough for a local stay in Nikko.

Room cleanliness and amenities provided

Great location, staff was super helpful. full dinner had a wide variety of options with beer and sake on tap. Staying in the Tatake room is in a separate building with an old entranceway and basic facilities - price was cheap in alignment with this type of stay (without dogs). 3 pools - you'll find the appropriate temp for your taste Staff was very considerate

Very clean and had everything we needed. Cooked breakfast every morning and slept very well through the night. Very big space and near a lot of things to do. Parking was great and easy, and check in was very efficient.

The property was clean, easily accessible, and was in a great location. We were able to cook our own food and relax in the artificial Onsen bath. The beds were comfortable and we were able to connect to the projector to watch TV in the evenings.

It is a large house with plenty of room.

This single house is simply perfect. I strongly recommend it to visitors in the area and will hopefully be back.

Nice location nearby the main area of Nikko that we wanted to explore. Allowed us to bring our cats. The space was very nice and big enough for our family.

We arrived late, and we found the property super easy , we were two families with total 6 kids at different ages, we enjoyed our stay , the property was very clean and everything was perfect, its location was perfect too. the kids wanted to stay one more day but unfortunately we could not, since we planned to go to Edo wonderland as our kids are so interested in Japanese history. I really recommend the place for families

It is not so common to find a completely traditional house like this as accommodation. We loved everything about it. It was so cozy, well equipped, futon was already prepared and air conditioner running when we arrived in the night. The cozy kotatsu is a big bonus. Fantastic for travelers who want to experience living in traditional housing.
