Kevin and Janice were great hosts. They had some excellent suggestions on activities to do while we were up North. The property was also top notch being at the center of a whole heap of locations and just a stone's throw away from the highway.

This guest house provides a garden as well as barbecue facilities. There's free private parking, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.

The reception lady was awesome we have stayed here 4x each time was awesome the last trip in june i had left my pair of runners behind i thought i had lost them last weekend past in sept we turned up she had my shoes ready for me unbelievable 5star

The sunsets here are breathtaking, and the property feels very remote and extremely private—ideal for families looking for peace and relaxation. The trees around the house are perfect for kids to climb and explore, and the home itself is cosy and welcoming. The new bathroom is beautiful, and the shower has incredible water pressure—definitely a standout! From the comfort of the house to the stunning surroundings, this retreat is highly recommended for anyone wanting a beachside getaway.

This motel is a charmer with amazing views of a beautiful beach cove. It has everything you need for a beautiful stay. There is an on-site restaurant that looked delicious, however we did not eat there. Sorry we bought takeaway. We would definitely stay there longer if we returned to the area.

This is an extremely unique and special property. It was the perfect place for our family to unwind at the end of the year. The outdoor spa was gorgeous and pizza oven fun. The kids loved playing on the lake. It is an absolutely beautiful setting that is very well looked after. Hamish is a friendly and welcoming host who explained everything for us and helped with local fishing and swimming tips. The living and bedrooms are cosy and very well appointed. I cannot reccommend this more highly for a wonderful family retreat unique to Aotearoa.

We were in Cockle Cottage - very nice indeed. Beautifully fitted out with exceptionally good quality furniture and kettle/toaster and pretty little extra ornaments that matched the decor. They have gone to a lot of trouble to make it very homely and very comfortable.
