The house and space was absolutely beautiful. The gardens were stunning and we were able to pick fresh lemons and oranges daily. The house itself was decorated with amazing pieces, clearly from a collection of several generations.

Location and cafe below, had two prata de dias,very good value and tasty. Fountains on in rotunda in front of buildings, we stayed in Suite on 3rd floor,good exercise up and down, am 79yrs young so no complaints about that,😏,Apartments being renovated so am surely when complete will be a far better place,maybe air-conditioning in rooms 😀, kitchen amazing wanted for nothing, plenty of cupboards for storage, and also fridges freezers,would stay again. 👍 😀

Excellent location centre of Sao Joao de Madeira, close to cafes, restaurants and great supermarket and also right on the Camino. Possibly a bit tired decor wise but excellent value for money for an exhausted Pilgrim
