Great location and wonderful staff

Super clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. Breakfast is fresh and ample. Exceptionally friendly owners. Easy access to town center. And you must, must book a dinner at the extraordinary Javier Montero restaurant!

What a wonderful hotel! We're walking the Camino and took the inland route. This was a perfect stop for us. They were prepared for wet pilgrims. He put a fan in our room so our clothes would dry overnight. That meant a lot! My husband loved the air blower used by golfers to clean their shoes. And the Grilled Hake was amazing!

The staff at Hotel La Ruta was exceptional. I initially booked the least expensive room which would’ve had me overlooking the main street in front of the hotel as well as being above the seating for the restaurant with its attendant noise, smoking fumes, etc. Esau bent over backwards to help me find an upgraded room for a small fee that would ensure me a good nights rest. He also provided me with an excellent map as well as great suggestions on where to explore. The room was clean and very comfortable The hotel was very conveniently located right along the Camino Norte.

Breakfast was included, it was a basic breakfast buffet with all necessities.

Copious hot water - really hot and room controlled heat that actually worked.

Amazing place with such an a great service!! Excellent location if doing the Camino Del Norte. Staff especially Glenis went above and beyond to help us with the taxi to go to the Cathedrales beach, bus timeline, phoning even our next accommodation to inform them that we would be late for checking in. The hotel is very clean. A perfect stay for us! Thank you!

The location is excellent, in front of the church in the center of the town. The room was very comfortable and clean with a balcony to Plaza España and the church. I loved everything

The building is a museum. Beautiful, old architecture and the owner is wonderful. We had wonderful conversations about her family and their history with the building.

Such paradise as soon as you walked in! Tranquil and well organised. The best place I stayed in Spain. Loved the privacy curtains on the bunk and comfortable bed. The kitchen has basics including tea and milk powder. A massage over the garden was amazing.

Stayed here walking the Camino Norte. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nice harbor view with good WiFi and traditional Spanish breakfast. We recommend.
