SwitzerlandThis place was really superb. You need a car to get there as it is located just outside of Dijon. It is worth getting a car just to see the place: it is essentially a mansion just outside of a now derelict cement factory that they have artfully and tastefully integrated into their property. The grounds are large, dotted with places to lounge, relax and enjoy. The swimming pool (heated!) is worth using, also because it has been built into the remains of the old factory. The entire estate is tastefully done, with no expense spared. It is no surprise that the breakfast is super, too. Deserves the 10-Star rating and well worth a stay there.

A beautiful house with lovely quirks. Historical and unique. Had everything you would need for a short stay. Brilliant location in town with handy parking over the road. We were so comfortable we wanted to stay in instead of go out. So many great original features and then some tastefully renovated areas to mix. We want to come back and stay again!

We have stayed in this hotel several times, it is in a beautiful location with the river & water mill. Avallon a historic town is close by.

When we arrived there were road works outside. Our host gave us an appartment at the back of the property so we would not be affected by the noise. Location was great. Short walk to everything and the market was on the doorstep.

We enjoyed our short stay.
The staff is friendly, the location is great and the breakfast they offer exceeded my expectations. We also appreciate the size and the quiet surrounding of the studio

+ great rooms (we had in apartment), great attention to details, lots of graphic novels; extra clean
+ delicious breakfast and a fantastic dinner (be sure to reserve in advance)
+ the pool, located in an old cement factory, is just perfect
+ the owners were just great, they helped us with everything we needed

Central location, the house is well refurbished with large secluded garden, ideal for young families and dogs.
We found a well decorated house inside with real Christmas tall tree and lights outside which was a nice surprise.
The kitchen is well equipped and the mattresses are soft and comfortable.
We did not use the garage, plenty of space outside next to the living room to park and get things in and out the car. The entrance is gated, easily accessible opens and closes with fob key.

We already knew this hotel -have stayed probably 5 or 6 times over 20 years. It suits us in terms of price, location, service.
We like the fact there is plenty of parking on site - free.
