After driving all the way to Tropea from Giardini Naxo in Sicilia then taking the ferry visiting Scilla and taking the mountain route to Tropea we were exhausted, finding parking at the top of the hill and walking down to the centro storico of Tropea where we found our reserved place at the Diamond rooms was such a relief and a real prize for us. The owner manager saw us and let us in with a room key and oh what a BEAUTIFUL RENOVATION of a historic building!!! The room and bathroom and entry stairs are shining examples of the best craftsmanship and design, every element is new and the windows while not having any views, give light, aire and privacy in a quiet area that is a special peaceful maze to explore. The local area had small patio dining and drinks and some super cool shops as well as cultural landmarks and we were steps away from insanely beautiful sea views from the Belvedere that overlooked a castello and the most dramatic sunset complete with an ocean clowning under the 🌙 crescent moon and illuminated pink clouds. Could not ask for more.... Finding Enzo's Panini place where we had the BEST HAMBURGERs in Italy and Arancini was the cherry on top of the night as we were soooo hungry and there were hardly any other restaurants open. We loved what we had and it was a great value!! So happy with Diamond rooms we had a super restful night with a good coffee in the morning to start our long trip back to northern Puglia... grazie diamante!

Loved staying at Karol Rooms. Great experience. Much more than I expected. Great location. The room was huge, bright, with an enormous bathroom. Breakfast is on a terrace overlooking the sea. Recommended you will enjoy it

The space is beautiful! It all seems brand new and was in a perfect location. The air conditioning was a dream when we were trying to beat the summer heat. We were also so thankful for the guys that helped us get all our bags up the staircase and into the property.

This is a great place to stay while in Tropea! The host picked my friend and me up from the train terminal and brought us both back (at separate times!). We were very impressed by the hospitality and kindness. The room and private bathroom are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location was perfect for us as we spent our days at the beach and were glad that we did not have to climb up the stairs or hill afterward. We enjoyed the breakfast and coffee in the mornings. We can fully recommend Residenza Porta Romana for your trip to Tropea!

Such a great place to stay! The room we booked was a double room and it was so spacious and comfortable. Excellent shower, big comfy bed and nice aircon. Everything was spotlessly clean. Location is good, a few minutes walk to the old town but in a more residential street great for some peace and quiet.

location basically a stone's throw from the beach - sea views - lovely premises and very helpful staff who assisted us in booking our excursions and even prepared a packed lunch instead of our prepaid breakfast. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. The Hotel also arranged for the taxi to and from the airport with a reputable company who accomodated us even when our flight was delayed. Lovely stay - we will be back !

This apartment is absolutely amazing! Perfect location with great view on the city centre and the Santuario Di Santa Maria and some stairs from the beach. The place was very comfortable and spotless clean, with a large shower, well equipped modern kitchen. Everything was perfect.

Great place to stay. Location is excellent. Walking distance from the beach, the pier, and the historic center. We parked our car in their gated lot and just walked the full four days we were there. The room is very contemporary, clean and comfortable. Dazzling star lights on the ceiling added a nice touch. Mario, the host is extremely accommodating. Booked us an excursion we asked for, provided a lovely breakfast each morning, anything we required was handled swiftly and politely. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, few minutes walk from the centre and surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets and a pharmacy. Although the accommodation is on a busy road, the room is really quiet thanks to the double glazed windows. Small kitchenette with plates, pans, pots, cutlery, and everything else you might need. Really clean and comfortable place to stay.
