Places to Stay in Yamaguchi

The hotel location is really close to Shin-Yamaguchi Station, but not too close that you can hear the noise of trains passing. The staff were also very nice, friendly and helpful! I'm really grateful to them! The bedroom and bathroom are the same as the photos, and it's more than enough for one person. It was very comfortable and clean! There is also a public bath, which helps melt away the fatigue in your legs after a whole day of walking! There is also a coin washing machine and dryer which works perfectly. Please note that the washing machine doesn't have automatic detergent disposal, so you have to buy a detergent pack in the front lobby (but it's very cheap and smells good). I didn't try the hotel breakfast or the nearby restaurants, but the hotel is close to two 7-11s (one on the street on the way to hotel and one in the station). The neighborhood is really quiet during the day and night. It can be kind of scary when you first walk from the station to the hotel at night because of how quiet it is and how there's basically no people on the streets at all, but the neighborhood is very safe! There were also some constructions going on nearby but I didn't hear any noise. Overall it exceeded my expectations and I would love to stay here again~

The onsen that is attached to the hotel was really nice.

Everything, staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was nice and clean. Facilities were good and I can highly recommend the Onsen, I loved it!

Good amount of amenities for the price. Despite being far from the main city, it is close to convenient businesses like McDonalds, 711, and Aeon.

Great location, beautiful room and onsen facilities. Breakfast varied from day to day and was very tasty and fresh. Kind staff. Also a free drink from the vending maschine was a nice touch.

Everything was really clean and the breakfast was good too. It was a stone’s throw away from the shinkansen station (Shin-Yamaguchi) which made travel very easy.

The location is directly in front of Shin-Yamauchi Station. Free Microwave wave services. 7-Eleven is located next to the building. Several car rental services are available nearby, such as Toyota, Nissan, Nippon, Times, and Orix

I truly enjoyed my stay at Kokusai Hotel Yamaguchi. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

Very nice host and lovely large house. For us it was an exceptional stay, as it was the first time that we stayed in a traditional Japanese farmer's house. It's a bit remote but therefor calm and peaceful. Usually many people including foreigners stay here and work on the house to expand, repair and improve it. It's a great ongoing project. The beds were so comfy, the room clean, the people happy and so were we.

Breakfast was beautifully made, with locally grown vegetables, and excellent coffee. Don't sleep on the hot dog either, it's awesome!

Everything! The staff were very kind despite the language barrier. The room was very comfortable and the location was perfect! It was a very nice stay!

Loved that they had a family room that could easily fit the five of us. Location was next to convenient stores and izakaya and had ample parking. On the night we showed up later in the evening, the staff had reserved parking stalls for guests and made sure we could still park. Nice local snacks in the room. Onsen was nice.

Amazing service. Wonderful rooms and onsen. Very traditional and aesthetically pleasing. Excellent food.
