Places to Stay in Con Dao

We liked everything - charming and comfortable.

Great location. Walking distances to all the shops and food.

I highly recommend to pay for a better room, cause the view from upper floor rooms is amazing

This was my second stay here at Hotel De Condor. The location is quiet and relaxing with the mountain/jungle as its backdrop. The rooms are spacious and the restaurant is one of the best on the Island (along with their sister restaurant, An Oi Cafe in town) serving delicious, healthy and beautifully presented food. Ly Ly and Lao Lao are incredibly gracious hosts who care greatly about their guest's needs and want them to have the best visit possible on the island. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful :)

Cheap and located just across the street from the best beach in Con Dao. What more can you ask of a 2* hotel? Con Dao is a bit of a wild island where tourism is still under heavy development (they were literally digging the streets for fire hydrants and putting street signs when I got here, Dec 2025.). There are practically no beach amenities like sun shades on any of the beaches I visited, just sand (most common) or gravel (in one place). This means that natural shade is very important and the two beaches in town (Lo Voi and An Hai) do have natural shades from trees in abundance, however only An Hai has somewhat deep water. Lo Voi beach is nicer as it has pine forest for the entire length of the beach, however water is very shallow, you need to walk quite a long way through knee deep water to get to more depth. An Hai is also a very nice beach, arguably the best part is at the beginning, near the peer, which is directly across the street from Horizon hotel.

Trinh and Hải are incredible hosts and have such an amazing property. The vibe is extremely welcoming and Trinh goes through so much effort for her guests, even turning on the air conditioner before we arrived so that it would be cold when we did. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. They have brand new motorbikes for rent which was really convenient. The breakfast they served is really tasty and affordable. Upon leaving we were waved off by Hải, which made us feel like family. I’ve never stayed with such amazing hosts and felt so taken care of. Trinh is so knowledgable and gives you great advice for your itinerary on the island. I can 1000% recommend that you stay here, you won’t regret it.

The hotel is centrally located, close to major attractions and the night market, so getting around was very convenient. What made the experience even better was the warm and friendly staff who made us feel at home.

Such friendly attentive staff. They even went to the extent of providing us vegetarian breakfast. Their bar has good drink & food choices. The hotel is located beachfront which was so convenient to swim whenever. Its not brand new but they do their best to try and maintain it. I hope the economy and tourism picks up again for this place.

Such a sweet family run stay, and you can’t beat the location right in front of the pier for such an amazing price. You can easily cross the street and go for a swim, and you can rent a scooter directly from the owners hassle free. They really made me feel welcome and at home, highly recommend!

This family-owned hotel made our stay really special. Everything was well organised, they took care of the rental scooter and pickups. We really liked our quiet room and the surrounding garden. The hotel's host made us breakfast (it's optional, but you should try it) and made sure we tried the best dishes of Vietnamese cuisine! The host even invited us to the party, and it was a very special experience. We are very grateful for this stay and all the care from the hosts. Totally recommend!
