Beautiful beach resort with a stunning pool and a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool area is amazing and perfect for spending the day, with great views and plenty of space to unwind. Direct beach access, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff make it an ideal spot for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

This hotel was really good for what we needed it for. We needed to be close to the cruise ship dock and the staff were very accommodating for us. They have a secured covered parking for our car which we appreciated. Breakfast was very basic but very good, and we ordered from the restaurant the night before and the food was very good.

The ambience of the resort was incredible. Due to complications in travel plans, we didn't arrive until 10pm. The man working stayed late for us in order to let us in past closing time (we had someone call ahead). After a full day of flights, rental car problems, construction and travel (including an unexpected ferry ride from Puntarenas at the last minute) with 2 girls, 8 and 10 years old, we were feeling exhausted and a little defeated. After all of this, arriving at La Perla felt like magic! The host put the outdoor lights on for us and the girls splashed and played in the cave-pools until almost midnight (luckily, there were no other guests at the time to disturb). They explored all of the little alcoves, finding doors to various rooms up cave-like stairways. The room was so much better than expected, spacious and clean with cool carved bunk beds and 2 double beds as well as a little kitchenette. I can't say much about the area as we had to leave early to catch a 7:30am ferry out, but the resort itself was absolutely fabulous!!! The kids LOVED it and I think it was the favourite room out of our 3 weeks in Costa Rica. It also had it's own little outdoor terrace with private swimming pool. So cool in every way!

Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We requested changing the room to one with beach view and they were happy to entertain our request! Will definitely return.

I was greeted by the extremely kind hosts with a gift--a huge fruit basket and chocolates. Their generosity was so much appreciated. Wow! They took the time to show me everything. The yard is absolutely gorgeous and huge! There are so many beautiful plants on the property that aren't captured by the photos. Any issues were addressed promptly. The beds were super comfortable as were the pillows. Everything was so clean when I arrived. The kitchen had everything I needed. The custodian of the grounds lives on the property and he was very nice, although he only spoke Spanish. My two dogs loved barking at the squirrels everyday and searching for the custodian's cat. One of our favorite things to do every afternoon when the rains came in was sit on the patio and watch the rain pour. The sunsets every night overlooking the bay and City below were amazing. The restaurant next door was convenient and was not noisy at all, even on weekends.. The hosts went above and beyond in making sure we had a comfortable one month stay.
