Hotels with Pools in El Fuerte

I arrived early and since the room was ready they let me check in early which was very nice. Room was very spacious and well furnished.

This hotel is built around the former governor's mansion built in the late 1600's. El Fuerte was the center of the revolution of the early 1800's when the people of Mexico took back their country from a dictator. The hotel has antiques galore, and a courtyard like you've never seen. This sprawling property has gardens everywhere. It is right off the main square and two blocks from the river and main fort. Unbelievable hotel and location. Price was great!

The property was so comfortable. The room itself was huge with high ceilings, a king bed, another bed and a couch. The shower was wonderful as well. Outside the room there are tons of places to sit and relax as well as a pool to cool off in plus hammock. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I had three surfboards and we left our car in their secure gated parking lot across the street for three nights as we went up to visit the Copper Canyon on the train. During that time they allowed me to keep my surfboards in the back room of their office out of the hot sun. There was no extra charge for this and they were just so friendly and helpful. Plus, this hotel was very affordable.
