The Art Gallery hotel is so charming and beautifully designed/decorated. The breakfast and little patio out the front to enjoy a drink was so relaxing. The staff were very attentive and so friendly. Sergio and Renley (not how you spell it in Albanian!), were incredibly helpful and kind. The hotel is in a great location! We had an amazing view of the amphitheatre ruins out of our window.

Location is easy to access beach, markets, exchange offices and estaurants. You can have free parking spot which is really important in the region. Receptionist lady is keen to help you for your comfort. Her English is fluent. She also prepared a to do list for us in our upcoming visit to Berat. We took advantage of that list and also enjoyed in Berat. Room that we stayed was 101, it was big and comfortable. Beds and furnitures were new. Decoration within the hotel and restaurant were also modern and nice. We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Although there were plenty of restaurants by the sea coast, ours was the most attractive and good for the value.

The impeccable service and hospitality of your staff made our vacation amaizing. We were very impressed by the responsiveness of you and your staff from the planing stage till the end of our retreat. We loved everything about our stay at Hotel Kloest, from the great location to the breakfast and delicious cappuccinos every morning, to the great value for the cost. We even had a sea view from the charming Juliet balcony. But what makes it extra special is the friendly and caring staff. Every person we met at the hotel was simply wonderful. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Albania, which we definitely plan to return to!

The room was spotless. The hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating. It was a great stay and I would highly recommend. The location is a short walk to the centre and quiet at night so there were no issues getting a good night sleep! We really enjoyed our stay, it was amazing value and would definitely stay in Old Town Villa again if we ever revisit Durrës.

Great little hotel, centrally located on Durres beach, and easy enough to get to Old Town and other areas. I had a suite, which was amazing and great views. The highlight though has to be Malo and the wonderful team. They are super helpful, friendly and welcoming and always happy to have an interesting conversation - I learnt a lot about Albania just from chatting to Malo! Hope to return soon!

My family and I were here from June 6 to 8, 2025. The hotel is excellent, directly on the beach, the beach is great, the sun loungers on the beach are free, the entire hotel, the rooms, the restaurant and the beach are covered with excellent wifi, the breakfast was great, a large selection of products, the staff was very pleasant and the hotel was very clean.

Nice beaches, great beach promenade with lots of restaurants...

Nice beaches, great beach promenade with lots of restaurants - nice atmosphere. The best restaurants, however, the best ones where in the main street close to the promenade. Would recommend Vila Mare, Fish House, Otantik and Westwood in Durres city. Went on two guided tours which we recommend as well. The first was to Holta Canyon and the second to Kruja Castle.

Most chaotic airport ever visit!

Most chaotic airport ever visit! Unbearable and dangerous traffic, not pedestrian friendly, check-in takes too long and security lines a mile long. Not fitted for the amount of traffic experiencing. Plan to travel early to the airport, especially if you rent a car. The car rental garage is a mad house in which we were almost one hour stuck in competing traffic.

Kruje is a beautiful little town with a backdtop of the mountains.. Tiny bazaar type shops are worth a mooch, cafes and restaurants arevery friendly, service excellent and quality food. Highly recommend Motiv and the waiter Gerald🥰 We climbed the mountain, well worth it for the views, only if you are quite fit!

The beaches are awefull around Cape Rodon. Lot's of trash and garbage floating around the beaches and sea. Currently there are 2 newly built resorts (Saint Michelle Residence and Resort Arbeni) being demolished for unknown reasons. Our first booked accomodation let us know that they had to cancel our booking due to Albanian new legislation (Piceri Rodoni). In my opinion it is better to stay at the beaches of Dürres and visit the cape as half a day trip. But if you want to have a non-active holiday, Rodoni resort is the best place you could imagine to stay.

We had to drive, but it wasn't a problem for us. We discovered some really nice local bars and restaurants. Duka Wine Estate is definitely recommended, just a 10-minute drive away! Lej & Laj, we'll definitely be back!

Durrēs is a great place - we loved the combination of archelogical, historic sites melting into the modern town. We would love to learn more about Albanian history. We are actually very concerned about the beach area. At this time of the year there must be more than 4000 tourists on the beach at the same time. Although there is an effort to clean the beach in the morning with rakes - the microplastic and the cigarettes stubs are all over. We found the water very salty which could suggest pollution. Something has to be done, otherwise this beautiful place on earth will be destroyed forever.

Rinas is the area where the airport is located, which is about 45 minutes from Tirana, the capital. It didn't take us more than 20 minutes to get in and out of the airport. Our entire stay in Albania was 7 days and nights; we flew back on the 8th day. Albania is an amazing, clean country with the most stunning nature and lots of variety. You see layers of mountains with and without snow, clean beaches, beautiful lakes, and rivers. Lots of cultural and historic places to visit everywhere. Photos do not convey a clear understanding; one must see with the naked eye. Most importantly, it wasn't expensive at all. The only expensive place is the airport.

Krujë is a charming historic town with narrow streets, an old bazaar, and plenty of traditional Albanian restaurants. The Castle Museum and Ethnographic Museum are must-visits, there’s so much history to discover. Rain or shine, it’s worth exploring, and on clear days, head up to the shrine on the hills for a stunning view over the entire Krujë valley.

Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far. I would recommend to have options of water activities for the families and the kids even though there is plenty of ground activities available.

I loved our stay here.

I loved our stay here. The beach is great - clean, not too busy as locals go there and only 1 or 2 hotels on the coast, so not overloaded by tourists like some European destinations. Beautiful beach, warm sea. Just perfect.
