"It is a very quiet town & not known to everybody but You can see authentic way of albanians living. I discovered Ulëz only because looking at maps and the optimal point to our trip. On the road to Ulëz You can see wonderful sites of Shkopet River and the Ulëz reservour itself is a very beautiful sight to see. We arrived at the city when our home-stay families cousin was having a birthday party and listened to albanian music and witnessed the fireworks that came after. A 10 year old Amanda, daughter of the family we stayed with, told us about the village and the life there. She quized us about Albanian facts and teached us albanian words. We had a walk around the village. There is a truly humbling sight of the school "Papa Gjon Pali II" and the football fields next to the Lake. You will love the Village Central Park in front of catholic church "Shën Marku" Theres a few markets, few restuarants and an ice cream shop. When the workday is over and it starts to go dark You will witness the village Park come to life with children playing and adults flocking the streets and see the streets come alive. Truly a humbling and eye-opening experience if You come from a big city or busy life-style."

Extremely kind and welcoming owners. Very clean and comfortable room a few blocks from the centre of town. They even gave me a hose to clean my bike. Had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the quality and quantity of food was amazing.
