La Cumbrecita is such a cute little town! We loved Las Cascadas and their friendly staff. The location is perfect for exploring and they serve a nice breakfast and dinner. The staff was really kind in allowing us to eat early since we have small children that go to bed early. We would 100% recommend staying here!

La Cumbrecita is a very small town.

La Cumbrecita is a very small town. If you are looking for escape from the busy cities then it is the perfect place. Waterfalls are on walking distance to anywhere in the town. There are 2 very close cierras (peaks) to the town. One is half an hour climb and the other is 1.5 hours climb. Totally worth hiking to cierras because the view is incomparable and the variety in the wildlife is unbelievable. You can see the condors from the cierras. Horses, foxes, birds are just part of the daily life here :) I swam in the waterfall puddles as well which were very clean and safe and full of small fishes. If you are up for an adventure then there are more hiking and trekking routes to further cierras. Food is a mixture of German and Argentinian cuisine here. They have good beers and also wines in the town. Not many vegetarian options. The quality of food was just OK. You can access to the town on your own car, by taxis or by the bus company Blanco Pajaro from the nearby town Villa General Belgrano. People are very friendly and into their celebrations so you can see loads of colours and hear songs almost every night in the town centre. Although I have not tried, horse riding is an option too to see around especially easy for families.

Cozy little town, friendly people.

Cozy little town, friendly people. Not tons to do in the city itself, but just a bus ride away from other nice towns nearby, which were great for day trips! Not great to stay long just for tourism, but very welcoming for slow travel and living a 'by the river' routine calm live. Not many vegetarian options!
