Nestled in Guntrams, this nature hotel is serene and peaceful. The floral villa exceeded my expectations. I arrived later than expected and used the self-check-in. The directions were clear and simple. I enjoyed waking every morning to the birds chirping and the rooster crowing. Walking along the paths amongst flowers and trees made my day. The crystal garden and natural lake are a bonus. The breakfast was exceptional, with a lot of options to choose from. The food was fresh and flavorful. The host and his staff are warm and welcoming. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. I can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location is excellent, with a beautiful view that made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Parking was easy and convenient, which we really appreciated. The interior design is beautiful, our room was spacious with a nice view towards the main square and the bathroom was pristine. The staff was very kind and helpful. The available parking lot made it easy to get to the hotel in the stuffed little city (not all hotels there have dedicated parking lots). The breakfast was very good and fresh, however it could have included a bit more variety, personally I was missing scrambled eggs or baked eggs. (There were only boiled eggs in shell)

It is in a quiet small village in an astonishing natural area. It is with a beatifully kept garden. They are very thoughtful and caring about pet owners snd pets. (brochure, complimentary snacks and poop bags, blanket snd bowls in room, towels at garden doors to dry dog after walks). Swimming pools, saunas, steam cabin. Wonderful hiking spots and breathtaking nature at arms’ length.

The staff were very cheerful and helpful. The room was cozy and convenient for one or two people. On top of it all it was conveniently located across from the Basilica, so I could have a quick walk to Mass in order to start the day well! Overall, I am very pleased with my stay and I definitely would consider coming back if given the opportunity!

I loved the location, the building itself; it is like a maze, with the floors spread in a stepwise-way carved into the mountain-side, so cool and mysterious.:) The staff is very kind and helpful, providing really good inputs even at the time of booking the room. Good restaurant, pleasant and kind service. A great place to stay in Mariazell.

A very nice, calm, not crowded, friendly small city, just a few minutes away from the nature. Naturally, it is famous from the point of view religion, for us it was mainly selected by its close position to the nature, forests, mountains, lakes. The only thing that can be suggested: If you want to have a dinner at the evening, You need to hurry, the restaurants are mostly closing around 7pm.

Semmering is a rather nostalgic place.

Semmering is a rather nostalgic place. Everything reminds of "past glory". If one likes such an atmosphere, he/she is just right. Surrounded by woods and mountains multiple footpaths invite for every kind of relaxing excursions within a green nature.

The small town is a beautiful "jewel box" (that's how we say it in Hungarian). I took a walk in the morning in the sunshine and it was beautiful. Mountains, rivers, viaduct. Quiet, safe and 20 minutes drive to the Semmering ski resort.

Very well equipped for families with kids. Playground, pool with slide, nice garden outside. I appreciated the food labels clearly indicated the allergens. Dinner was excellent one evening and average the other nights.. that part could be better, but the overall experience was very good.

Mitterbach is easily accessible via public transport with the Mariazeller trainline which runs nearly every hour or so. It is a small town so beware of the opening and 'rest times' of local supermarkets and restaurants. The choice is limited. That said, there are a couple of cosy, family-run places and it's a gorgeous area with loads of scenic hiking routes in a truly stunning area. Well worth visiting!

Mürzzuschlag has a pleasant small town center, although the railway line running through it strongly shapes the town’s layout. A bigger issue is the limited number of dining options in the evenings – on Sunday, for example, we had to drive to Spital for dinner.

The area is great for hikers.

The area is great for hikers. We could have stayed longer and seen more. We stayed for 3 nights. As it happened, there was a heatwave so we found it too hot to do much walking anyway. Beautiful mountain scenery, lovely old town with plenty of religious and historical interest. Easy to get around with lots of things to do for all ages.

Perfect place for a short winter vacation.

Perfect place for a short winter vacation. Vienna airport is 100 km away. Car rental is fairly inexpensive if you book in advance. Several ski rental shops are in the surroundings. If possible avoid weekends. Many people com for a ski weekend.

The main attraction is the nearest mountain, Schneeberg. There is a hiking pass and a special train in summer. The hike is fantastic! Best fitness you can have and a great view (if the weather is not too bad).
