"During our brief stay, we enjoyed The Three Sisters, Katoomba Falls, Leura Cascades and local cafes and restaurants. We enjoyed fine dining at Jamison Views Restaurant and at Echoes Restaurant. The local people are welcoming, happy and friendly. We highly recommend a visit for a relaxing and easy going escape."

"There are so many options for food lovers. Bars, small restaurants with few intimate tables, gastropub (The New Ivanhoe) and a variety of coffee venue choices with great coffee. There is a tremendous antiques store you could get lost in and a stunning community built swimming pool with 100 year old Rhododendrons. A short drive to lookouts with many walking tracks for various abilities."

"I love the Blue Mountains and I love Lithgow. As a regional town it is easy to get around and access things like the bank the railway station the supermarkets and sporting facilities like the modern indoor pool. As we visited in winter we experienced winter weather and while we could not see the three sisters on this occasion due to fog I know we will see them another visit. My significant other rated his three cups of coffee highly first at the sports/soccer field second at the shopping centre and third at the Fast Fox takeaway. I loved the second hand book store too."

Nothing, it was outstanding from check in to check out. The spa upstairs on the rooftop is fabulous. My suite was exceptionally clean and modern. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Ashley, at the front desk certainly made a impression with her warm demeanor, friendly smile and knowing and using my first name throughout my stay. Privately owned, this is a fabulous stay.

Our two days in the Blue Mountains unfortunately fell victim to the Northeaster coming in - visibility was less than 100m, sometimes even the other side of the street seemed foggy and it rained cats and dogs. So we were very happy about this cozy hotel! It is historic and well-preserved (but of course with all modern amenities you need in the rooms). Fun to explore the different rooms, there's a nice bar and somewhere they have hidden away a brewery it seems. Oh, and the dining room... Great - had a good breakfast there (we had enjoyed dinner in the other brewery in town). The room was a bit smaller than expected, but for one night it was ok. It was quiet and we slept very well. There is a new parking garage next to the hotel - only disadvantage is, that you are exposed to the elements when you walk over there.

Every tiny detail was exceptional. From the MAGNIFICENT welcome of the GM and warm greeting each morning, to the immaculate modern rooms with super comfy beds, to the great value cooked breakfast bar, to the location - right in the heart of Katoomba central shopping/dining area ... it was honestly the BEST value I have ever spent on accommodation. The GM is exceptional - you felt like you were coming home each day/night. Don't agonise over this decision - its a done deal, this hotel is outstanding value and a warm experience.

Based on the photos of the property when I booked it, I was expecting the rooms at the hotel to be older. We were pleasantly surprised at how well maintained the room was. The beds were very comfortable, everything was in good condition, including the bathroom, which looked more modern than I thought it was going to be. Breakfast was simple, with a variety of breads and cereals, coffee, juice or tea. But at least it was good enough to get us up and running.

We were warmly welcomed by Bryant who showed us to our room, which was the corner suite. It had an amazing view right across the valley. The room was beautiful with all amenities and plenty of space. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with a lovely selection of granola, yoghurt, fruit and pastries brought to each table, followed by a cooked breakfast ordered from a menu. We will make sure we stay again.

The food and wine establishments are fantastic.

The food and wine establishments are fantastic. You can go full luxe with high end restaurants like Echoes, Hydro Majestic and the Carrington Grand Ballroom, or you can have lovely pub fare at the Bank or Katoomba Family Hotel. I can highly recommend the Devonshire tea at the Carrington. I know the Metropole does Devonshire tea too now and the scones look fabulous, we just didn't have time to indulge in either this trip. But certainly try those. The government loop bus from outside the Carrington Hotel to Echo Point, Scenic Railway and back is fabulous, not only do you get great views around Katoomba but it's an easy trip from central Katoomba to Echo Point. Lovely antique shops, cafes and very friendly people. I go every year in July/August for Yulefest with either a group or just one friend. Never disappoints. Go and experience for yourself. It was very spacious and met our needs but was bit dated and while it was clean we noticed fabric hanging out from under a sofa cushion. It was a woman’s underwear which we tossed in the trash. The cleaners might want to check more closely He ate at an excellent restaurant called the leopard. We liked it so much. We went back the second night. We were there as well.

We stayed in a maids cottage with a wood fire. Fire wood was at our door each day. Breakfast was unbelievable, the owner made sure we did not go hungry. There was cereal, toast, bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms. There were jams, vegemite, butter and honey for the toast. Coffee and tea making facilities as well as a coffee machine. The kitchen area had pots and pans to cook any meal if you did not want to eat out. For entertainment there was the TV, videos, books and games. This owner thought of everything and made sure we were very comfortable.

The property is modern on the inside, with well-appointed bathroom, comfortable bed and cosy shared sitting room. The breakfast was perfect and set us up for the day, with home-made yoghurt and muesli, warm croissants and muffins that arrive at your table in the comfortable lounge room. Views of the mountains make this a beautiful setting to enjoy a few days. We felt at peace from the inside out. Easy to find, well-lit even at night time. Added bonus: free wifi worked perfectly. The Blue Mountains are easily accessible, by train, from Sydney Central on a 'tap and go, basis and at a very reasonable cost. We then hired a car for 3 days but it's also possible to use the bus service. Leura is a nice little town, and only a few miles from Valley of the Waters B&B. We hiked a couple of the trails and had a guided geology walk at Echo point before going to Anvil Rock. There's a good grocers shop in Wentworth Falls plus a bigger supermarket in Leura. The weather can change in an instant so go prepared.

Great place to visit if you're interested in outdoor activities. It can be quite cold and windy though, even in summer, so check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing.
