Great price for good quality rooms without unnecessary luxury (nonsense). Great location for exploring nature. Quiet lounge area great for getting some study done. I would have spent a couple of hours engaged in some social intercourse at the hotel bar had it not been for a minor cold affecting the nose and feet.

Absolutely fantastic cottage which was even more charming than I'd imagined. The attention to detail was wonderful and there was always something new to spot around the cottage, be it an interesting old picture or a vintage camera. Charm overload and great amenities - everything you need if you plan to cook there... or simply make some breakfast with a quality kettle and toaster! Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Stepping out of the drizzle we were welcomed by a softly glowing fire, ambient music and gentle lighting….and a very warm, comfortable and inviting retreat. We loved exploring the character-filled home, finding lots of unique and interesting features and chatting for hours in front of the fire. The fridge was filled with lots of delights, breakfast, cakes and delicious treats…not to mention the freshly made jar of blackberry jam! We slept in comfort and peaceful bliss! What more could we want? Malina and staff were so hospitable and generous and our stay was 5 stars!! We will be returning to this haven.

We stayed in a maids cottage with a wood fire.

We stayed in a maids cottage with a wood fire. Fire wood was at our door each day. Breakfast was unbelievable, the owner made sure we did not go hungry. There was cereal, toast, bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms. There were jams, vegemite, butter and honey for the toast. Coffee and tea making facilities as well as a coffee machine. The kitchen area had pots and pans to cook any meal if you did not want to eat out. For entertainment there was the TV, videos, books and games. This owner thought of everything and made sure we were very comfortable.

We started late, and when we arrived at Blackheath, it was already sunset. The weather is not good, which makes the driving and overall experience not good enough; if this were under sunny driving conditions, the drive to Blackheath would be really good. It is a wonderful place, nature gives you the sound of silence, together with the amazing fireplace, there is nothing I can ask for more with the family together.

Great selection of restaurants and shops at Blackheath. Funky cocktail bar 'Side B Records Cocktail Bar' was a pleasant surprise in town. Loved exploring the shops - cafes and antique shops were a highlight. Golf course was pretty special. Challenging, scenic and lots of variety.

Blackheath was perfect for a quick get away from Sydney. The autumn colours were beautiful to see. Chinese tourists love standing in the middle of the road to take perfect snap for their friends which drives the locals crazy which was amusing to me. Loved the Thai restaurant which was open midweek for lunch and dinner. Recommend also going to Evans Lookout and Govetts Leap which is not far and just as breathtaking as the Three Sisters in Katoomba. We had perfect weather so you could see for miles. They both have disability access.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly base to explore the Blue Mountains, this spot hits the sweet spot perfectly. Tucked within easy reach of Hanging Rock, the stunning Grose Valley, and the iconic Hydro Majestic, the location makes it ideal for day trips without spending hours on the road. Everything feels close, which really lets you make the most of your time in the area. What stood out most was the convenience — plenty of eateries nearby, so you’re never short on options after a long day of exploring. Whether you’re after something quick or a relaxed meal, it’s all within easy reach. And oddly enough, even the local BP petrol station deserves a shoutout — clean, well-stocked, and surprisingly impressive for a quick stop. All in all, a great value stay in a fantastic location. Simple, convenient, and does exactly what you need without breaking the bank.

Blackheath is a great place to stay.

Blackheath is a great place to stay. Short drives to amazing views. The town has a well-stocked IGA, plenty of excellent browsing stores such as bookstores, record stores, antiques, gift stores. High points to eat at were The New Ivanhoe Hotel and the Blue Mountains Sushi. Excellent meals at both.

A wonderful location with exceptional views. The house was cosy and well kitted out. A mixture of modern and old world. Cooler at the time of our visit, so the fire was a nice plus. We enjoyed taking our dog for walks in the local area and Blackheath centre is just a short drive away. The house was a perfect holiday haven. Everything was as per the online description and yes we shall definately make a point of going back.

The cottage was beautifully presented, set in a lovely garden. The location was very central to all of the sights of the Blue Mountains. The township itself offered all of the necessary amenities like restaurants, a supermarket, and fuel. A bonus was the train station which took us all the way into Sydney for a day at Circular Quay (a trip we had not planned for).
