Breakfast was perfect after dinner and a few wines in Byron. The presentation added that extra touch. The house and grounds were very Downton Abbey! I did wonder where my Valet was when dressing in the morning. We stayed in the executive spa room, and it exceeded expectations. Attention to detail was awesome. Definitely recommend pouring a wine and strolling the grounds.

Bangalow township is the cream of the crop in the shire of Byron. Classy & a great vibe, for both the young & older folks. The only downfall is the lack of cafes that stay open for the afternoon. I can highly recommend the Bangalow hotel for dinner. The meals are generous & well priced. I recommend that you take a look. Try to plan a weekend when the markets are on. They are fabulous. We are frequent visitors.

The only thing to note is that you'll need a car (4x4 sounds better). It's quite a distance from the town; otherwise, it's not very convenient. Quiet place for a perfect retreat and recharge your battery. Very spacious rooms filled with natural, warm, and cheerful sunlight.

Kitchen was open shelves not much storage, trendy but not always practical. Was supposed to be self contained but there was no laundry, so no washing machine or dryer. Table, outside and tall with high stools, unsuitable for the elderly or children. They did supply another table on request. Spaceous. Concrete floors throughout. Tv reception kept dropping out. Lacked comfortable armchair. Staff lovely. Restaurant too expensive. Grounds and wildlife lovely. Location, good but road damaged due to floods, traffic lihghts in operation.

It’s a beautiful place to relax and get away from it all .

It’s a beautiful place to relax and get away from it all . Great if you have dogs you travel with . Nice to interact with the farm animals. The bed was comfortable and a patio to relax on in the afternoon. No other guests to worry about. The natural swimming pool was lovely but unfortunately too cold to make use of in August . Nice to walk around the property. Close to beaches if you are interested in going for a short drive. Communication with hosts punctual and friendly, excellent directions.

Lots of food options - The Patch is great for brekki, there is a bakery across the street that opens early, Fish and Chips very nice. Not far from Nimbin or if need be Byron. Local people friendly and like a chat and happy to point you in the right direction. In Mullum you can do lots of things or you can do nothing. A great home base for further local travel.
