The room was spacious, with beautiful wooden flooring, the bathroom was huge with lots of natural light and luxury amenities, and I loved the selection of T2 teas in the room. A true oasis with lush shady gardens, sparkling clean pool, and a lovely breakfast room, with gorgeous artworks and natural wood furniture. Delicious breakfast each morning with something different on offer. Marilynne was an exceptional host and we felt very well looked after. She accommodated our late arrival, found a lactose-free yogurt for me, and was always ready to offer insightful advice about restaurants or places to visit. Located walking distance to the town, and the the jetty to jetty walk, there is so much nearby to explore. An easy bus ride to Cable Beach, without the crowds of that side of Broome. Definitely recommend this exquisite place to anyone wanting the authentic Broome experience!

AustraliaI love the kitch 70’s tropical vibe. The hotel staff were very accommodating allowing us to leave our luggage a week prior to check in while we went camping on the peninsula. When we returned they had upgraded our room on the second floor. Balcony with views. Spacious room. Great pool with 25m lap section. Also next door to fabulous restaurant. Papa Fuego. The staff went out of their way to ensure we could get a dinner booking. Would definitely recommend this small hotel for value for money.

A lovely caravan park in Broome with an amazing location right across the street from Cable Beach. Park is quite large with a variety of options to chose from for lodging. We stayed in a 1 bed caravan, and had a nice spacious room with small kitchenette. Room was very clean. Park staff was very friendly and accommodating. Do take note of check in hours as reception is not 24/7. There was a swimming pool onsite and putt putt golf. Price was expensive but was ok for the amazing location. Would recommend when in Broome!

The Staff of this property is outstanding. Upon our early arrival, we were given directions into the town, where we were able to enjoy a nice breakfast at The Green Mango. We were also advised it was the last night for viewing the phenomenon known as The staircase to the Moon. Lucia et al also suggested the best place to watch was at the Mangrove Hotel. Our cell phones were not working throughout our entire 3 week trip, so they were kind enough to make local calls for us.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely setting of boab trees and swimming pools. Very convenient to Cable Beach. Front desk staff were very helpful in making reservations for us. Nice sitting area outside our apartment where we were able to enjoy breakfast and a glass of wine in the evening. We stayed here many years ago and were very happy to have the chance to stay here again.

Beautiful facility. Two pools available, one for family and one adults only, each with poolside food and bar service. Several restaurants on site and several within walking distance. Location right at Cable Beach where the camels walk at sunset.

We did both the Dolphin and Whale watching cruises with Broome Whale Watching, finding both whales and dolphins. The crew made the experiences unforgettable, the snacks were amazing and plentiful. Both trips are a must do.

Travelled for work. Loved staying at the cabins in Discovery Park Lake Kununurra just out of town. Everything is so close, gorgeous scenery and loved the local tour Black Hawk Tours. Everyone seems so friendly.

Derby was a cute town with a lovely art gallery where you can watch the artist at work and learn about other artists in the area.
You can even get a cuppa and cake there.
The sculptures around the town are lovely.
The boab trees are interesting.
We are at the boab inn and the Spinifex. Both were great meals.

Unfortunately Halls Creek is suffering from lack of inspiration! Information Centre not open so no information of the area, it is run down and needs a good lot of help from the WA govt to encourage tourism ... There is a lot to see and the history is amazing. Roads are very poor to the sights people wish to see and explore. Indigenous population friendly and I'm sure with a little encouragement & support many would be able to find employment without the constant "put down" there seems to be!

The lake views never get old.
The lake views never get old. The staff are helpful and friendly. I highly recommend doing the boat tour and the guide Lukas was knowledgeable and super fun.
The picnic spot down near the discharge into the Ord was peaceful. The pool was great but too cold to enter (im a Territorian 😂). The homestead museum was a highlight with so much nice old memorabilia there. Grassed areas were green and perfect for a walk or to sit and take it all in.
I also recommend going to Kununurra and Wyndham as there's so much history to take in.
I will definitely be back multiple times. Just kicking myself I didn't visit sooner. Don't make my mistake and check it out.

Everything in the Kimberley is larger than life and this is beyond belief .
Well run establishment which works like clockwork.
Generator runs for limited periods but is off at night
Meals were three course and like dining at a restaurant.

So wonderfully peaceful and remote.
So wonderfully peaceful and remote. We did an amazing 6 hour tour with Bundy and four of his family. Cannot recommend highly enough! Culture and country tour… our eyes and hearts were opened and in awe of the stories and wisdom and the way this land is cared for by the beautiful Bardi Jawa mob.

It is only for the fact that our cruise ended there, I could easily have skipped Broome. Enjoyed the once in a lifetime Stairway to the Moon.
I thought Darwin was a boring, rundown town, Broome is worse !

A small town but a great spot to travel out to some remarkable locations (Molly springs, Ivanhoe crossing, gorges, gin brewery etc). The trip down the Kununurra river is brilliant and I would highly recommend taking a scenic flight over the Bungle Bungles. The Pump house is the best restaurant in town, but book because it does fill up quickly and for breakfast you must visit the Wild Mango Cafe

Derby is a quiet town with a strong local community.
Derby is a quiet town with a strong local community. The sunsets over the mudflats are worth seeing. The Boab trees around town are unique and make the area feel different from anywhere else. The jetty is a good spot to walk or fish, especially in the evening.
There’s not a lot of nightlife, but the pubs are friendly and relaxed. Shops are limited, so it’s best to bring what you need. The local bakery and butcher are solid. Fuel and supplies are available but can be expensive.
The weather is hot and humid most of the year. Wet season brings heavy rain and road closures, so plan around that. Dry season is more comfortable and better for travel.
Derby is a good base if you're working in the region or heading to places like the Gibb River Road. It’s not a tourist hotspot, but it has its own charm if you take the time to look.
