Wonderful historic home beautifully transformed into a top quality, intimate, luxury retreat with attention to detail and personalised care. The room was spacious, with beautiful wooden flooring, the bathroom was huge with lots of natural light and luxury amenities, and I loved the selection of T2 teas in the room. A true oasis with lush shady gardens, sparkling clean pool, and a lovely breakfast room, with gorgeous artworks and natural wood furniture. Delicious breakfast each morning with something different on offer. Marilynne was an exceptional host and we felt very well looked after. She accommodated our late arrival, found a lactose-free yogurt for me, and was always ready to offer insightful advice about restaurants or places to visit. Located walking distance to the town, and the the jetty to jetty walk, there is so much nearby to explore. An easy bus ride to Cable Beach, without the crowds of that side of Broome. Definitely recommend this exquisite place to anyone wanting the authentic Broome experience!

I love the kitch 70’s tropical vibe. The hotel staff were very accommodating allowing us to leave our luggage a week prior to check in while we went camping on the peninsula. When we returned they had upgraded our room on the second floor. Balcony with views. Spacious room. Great pool with 25m lap section. Also next door to fabulous restaurant. Papa Fuego. The staff went out of their way to ensure we could get a dinner booking. Would definitely recommend this small hotel for value for money.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely setting of boab trees and swimming pools. Very convenient to Cable Beach. Front desk staff were very helpful in making reservations for us. Nice sitting area outside our apartment where we were able to enjoy breakfast and a glass of wine in the evening. We stayed here many years ago and were very happy to have the chance to stay here again.

Broome has an interesting and extensive history. Everyone should check it out. There are many palces to see and things to do if you have the time and inclination (and 4WD vehicle). Broome is well worth a 4-5 visit.

Plenty to see and do, but not the cheapest place to visit -...

Plenty to see and do, but not the cheapest place to visit - unsurprisingly as it's very remote ! Our top outings were: - Seaplane Trip to Horizontal Falls (not a cheap outing but really worth the expense, a fantastic and very memorable day out) - 3 hour Snubfin Dolphin Cruise (excellent on-board service and good wildlife viewing with "Broome Whale Watching Tours") - The iconic camel ride on Cable Beach (we did the 1 hr sunset ride but, to be honest, 1/2 would be enough !) - 3 hour Willie Pearl Farm Tour (a very informative tour, well worth it) - about 40km north of Broome, they have a bus if you prefer not to drive (or don't have a car) - Dinosaur footprints at Gantheaume Point - check the times as it;s really only worth going here at very low tide, but worth the clamber across the rocks. Take care on slippery rocks though, so wear trainers not thongs. - Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park (18km from Broome) was interesting

We did both the Dolphin and Whale watching cruises with Broome Whale Watching, finding both whales and dolphins. The crew made the experiences unforgettable, the snacks were amazing and plentiful. Both trips are a must do.

It is only for the fact that our cruise ended there, I could easily have skipped Broome. Enjoyed the once in a lifetime Stairway to the Moon. I thought Darwin was a boring, rundown town, Broome is worse !

Loved it all. Spent a lot of time at Cable Beach.

Loved it all. Spent a lot of time at Cable Beach. Loved it, loved it. Walked everywhere. Cable Beach House-beautiful staff and food. Only spent one day in Broome, but so wish I had had more time. The museum was given lots of accolades, but I didn’t get there. Loved exploring the shops, observing the local community. Moonrise-stairway to Heaven-was an especially lovely experience at The Mangrove Hotel. Wonderful music-terrific band- Groovy Lips- and great vibe at the hotel, with gorgeous sea views. Again, walked everywhere, except for bus trip from Cable Beach to Broome-easy peasy.

I think longer than 1 week would be too long. Wow what an interesting place. Airport in the middle of CBD! Breathtaking Cable Beach. A quirky town with hidden gems. Divers Den busy place with huge meals at good prices and lots of variety on the menu. Loved the food truck umbrellas and deck chairs on the sand at Cable beach. Down side only frozen seafood to buy from the butcher next door to Woolies his meat was excellent with variety I have never seen before.

It was in a lovely quiet part of town walkable to town beach and the jetty walks. Easy drive to “town” and cable beach. Private parking and gated. The home suited us because it was truly a home away from home - lived in but lovely. We had everything we needed to enable us to enjoy Broome and its surrounds. We liked that it didn’t have a resort feel - the architecture is of the old Broome style and we really embraced that. Highly recommend.

This was our first trip to Broome and Seashells didn't disappoint. Four generations of us stayed in a lovely well appointed bungalow surrounded by beautiful gardens and a gloriously refreshing pool. The location is excellent and a very easy 5 minute walk will have you on stunning Cable Beach for those magical sunset viewings. We will be back x
