AustraliaSurpassed my expectactions. The motel wasn't cheap but the room was beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to help us and answer any questions. Additionally it was a nice surprise having the bikes, surfboards and sauna all included for free. The room was also cleaned everyday, and the small things such as chargers, speaker and nice soaps made for such an enjoyable stay.

CanadaThe room was very large and had separate toilet from shower which is convenient. While not advertised we decided to look what was available for breakfast and found out that it was included. Also when we checked in, we were offered 2 drinks that could be used at the bar across the parking lot.

A magical farm stay experience (with a slightly bumpy start)
We arrived at The Woods Farm around 6:30 pm, and to be honest, it was a little unsettling at first — the entire property was pitch dark, and we couldn’t find a single staff member around. After calling via WhatsApp, we found out that we needed to locate our cottage ourselves, which was quite tricky in the dark and a bit worrying. But as it turns out, this is just how things work here.
Our mood shifted completely once we found our cottage — and wow, it was stunning. Beautifully built with high-quality materials, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed: 3 comfy bedrooms, a lovely living room, and a full kitchen.
The next morning, we understood why this place gets so much praise. We were greeted by wild kangaroos hopping across the massive backyard, and the kids were absolutely thrilled. Then came the real highlight — feeding time at the farm! We got to meet and feed alpacas, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, ponies, and even wild parrots who pecked sunflower seeds straight from our hands. Our 3- and 8-year-olds were in absolute heaven — it was truly something special.
There’s also a huge playground right next to the pool, which was perfect for the kids to burn off more energy.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. Our kids are still talking about it long after we’ve moved on to our next destination. If we weren’t already committed to a tight travel plan, we definitely would have stayed longer.
Highly recommend for families looking for a unique and unforgettable farm stay!

Location location location! The beach literally across the street. We were really pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and layout separating the 2 beds either side of the bathroom, which was very nice and modern. Super clean and lovely linen. The room facilities including microwave which we didn't need but good to know for future stays.

I enjoyed the Shoalhaven Zoo, with a variety of Australian and exotic animals. Treetops adventure climbing is on the zoo grounds, featuring tree and cliff climbing and ziplines.
The Navy's Fleet Air Arm museum (free) is adjacent to Nowra airport, a few kilometers out of town, and features both helicopters and fixed-wing airplanes used by the Australian Navy.
The Nowra Art Gallery had three exhibitions open when I was there - they were free.

Possibly a well kept secret from us northerners (Queensland) but I imagine it would be very busy in the warmer and holiday months - possibly overcrowded even. There's plenty of things to do nearby: museums, boat excursions, walking trails and beaches etc. But one could just as easily lounge around on the beach, go fishing or just catch up on sleep and enjoy being away from it all.
And Husky does feel away from it all, but everything you could need is either in the town itself, or just a short drive away in Vincentia. And there's no shortage of eating options - from authentic Italian or takeaway fish & chips, you'll be spoiled for choice. I found myself rather partial to the main hotel, which easily surpasses the Australian pub standard for food and drinks.
Two nights was all our schedule permitted to stay this time around, but plans are certainly afoot to return for a longer stay.

Mollymook is located on the South Coast of NSW. It's a fantastic place to stay for a relaxing holiday getaway. The Mollymook beach ⛱️ is so beautiful 😍 and it's dog friendly in the middle as long as your dog is on the least. It is patrolled near the Mollymook Surf Lifesaving Club. Which has toilets, cafes, playground, barbecue facilities, covered seating areas and pathways for walk, riding or electric scooter. Mollymook has plenty of excellent cafes, restaurants, quality accommodation, supermarkets, historical sites, walking tracks, fishing, golf ⛳️ course, whale 🐋 watching boating 🚢 tours just to name a few. It's brilliant with excellent facilities.

Jervis Bay is one of the prettiest places I have stayed in Australia. Lots to do and great facilities. It is like a Noosa on the NSW south coast.

The coast in that part of NSW is always beautiful, but honestly, there just really wasn't a lot to recommend Ulladulla as a town - particularly not when so spoilt for choice in that part of the world. We arrived late afternoon, had a quick look around, and I was pretty happy to be leaving first thing in the morning.

Burrill Lake is close to Ulladulla which has excellent restaurants and clubs and good shopping. We ate several times at an Italian restaurant and at the bowling club and ex-services and at local cafes, all very good. The lake area also has great cafes and some shopping with excellent swimming and boating facilities and fishing is very popular.

I adored visiting Lake Conjola with my boyfriend—he grew up spending summers there, so it felt nostalgic and meaningful. Every local we met was genuinely warm and welcoming. We spent a delightful evening at the local Bowling Club during their meat raffle and live music night—the food was delicious, and the bar offered an impressive selection of drinks. The beach was absolutely stunning, I also tried fishing for the first time and was thrilled to catch a blackfish! I’ll definitely be returning soon.

There is not a lot around, only a small IGA and a liquor store. The takeaway shop, is actually a pizza shop, and quite expensive but delicious. If you want a place to escape the hustle and bustle, relax on a beach, this is the place.

Quiet retirement and holiday village. Very pretty place, especially for people who enjoy boating and fishing. Not much to do in winter, which is when we visited, but we went with the explicit goal of slowing down and doing very little.
