I WAS ROBBED! USD200 DISAPPEARED FROM MY ROOM AND NOBODY SEEMED TO CARE WHEN I WENT TO COMPLAIN AT THE RECEPTION AND SPOKE TO THE MANAGER. I COULDN'T FILE A COMPLAINT TO THE POLICE BECAUSE I REALIZED THE MONEY WAS MISSING SHORTLY BEFORE CHECKING OUT AND GOING TO THE AIRPORT. I SUPPOSE THEY KNOW WHO'S CHECKING OUT AND STEAL ON THE LAST DAY SO PEOPLE HAVE NO TIME TO TAKE MEASURES. DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL! THIEVES WORK THERE!!!

Absolutely everything. Amazing breakfast with lots of options, staff was very helpful and extremely polite. The hotel restaurant has a great menu and food was always very tasty. We stayed in two rooms: one already renewed, with a huge, beautiful bathroom. The other room was a bit older, but still very charming and welcoming. The spa was also a great surprise!

It was a safe place for walking, even at night. nice places to visit, really nice restaurants. the beach can be a little tricky, since the grond is uneven, and there is a steep slope down to the beach and the sea. The souvenir stores on the shore are really nice and you must try the cashew nut.

Popular with Brazilian vacationers, Pipa is a cute, tourist oriented town. There are a wide range of accomodations and good restaurants. It has a very beach casual vibe. There are several nice beaches close by, although the one at the center of town is not usable during high tide. For surfers, there are three different breaks nearby that will provide waves for every level of ability.

Nice, clean and apparently safe town.

Nice, clean and apparently safe town. Various excellent beaches and lodgings + restaurants on the beach front, as well as strung out along the beach road East through several villages. The federal and local government are prohibiting vehicles on the beach, something that should be done along Brazil's entire coast. Upscale houses and lodgings are still interspersed with humble, local owners and traditional jangada fishermen are present.

My wife is Brazilian and I have visited Brazil many times...

My wife is Brazilian and I have visited Brazil many times including the North-East (Fortaleza, Recife, Salvador, Joao Pessoa, Ilheus), but, this was my first time here. As a beach holiday probably the best of those (although all good). Natal is a good sized city with a strong and important tourist sector so sophisticated options are available and the quality and range of food and drink available was metropolitan. That said tourists are mostly Brazilians (and Argentines) from the South. I didn't hear an English speaking voice in 10 days here. There is definitely lively nightlife for those who want it. But, you'll need to speak Portuguese, or have a good guide, to stay out of trouble and safe. Natal can be dangerous. The surrounding area has destinations for several day trips - "passeios" as they call them and Europeans and American's will find the prices cheap as they will for just about anything else too (food, drink, Ubers of which there are plenty and souvenirs).

I spent about 8 days and Pipa and it was the perfect amount of time to settle in and learn about the town. I felt very safe as a female traveling alone. During the day I would walk everywhere and at night my accommodation had a shuttle that would bring you to and from the central area. The beaches are beautiful! I found two different yoga classes and went surfing at Praia do Amor.

the city of Natal spent a lot of money to dig and extend the beach. there is no more sand , it is feet hurting shells and stones. I can see the effect , not that many people at this time of year. and the agents pushing their umbrellas and space are aggressive and bothersome. SAD SAD sight of a once beautiful place.....You have to wear flip flops but the hard sand makes it worse to walk...SAD SAD SAD

Excellent! Beautiful beaches, different food types, excellent environment. Not totally prepared for people who have difficulties for walking, the city has lot of streets to “climb” when walking. Almost all the street have “paralelepipedos”
