"I love everything about New York City. Every time you can do something totally different than the last. Always new restaurants to try, plays to see, things to do. The only thing not to like is that everything is more expensive than you think, but you can do it on a budget. I highly recommend booking the crown tour of the statue of liberty. It books out quickly so plan in advance. Brooklyn Bridge and Central Park are can’t miss spots. It’s so easy to get around. If you like to walk you can get your steps in, but the subway is great and google maps can guide you perfectly."

"We love staying in Brooklyn whenever we come to NYC. Our son, daughter-in-law and grandson reside in Carroll Gardens, them of course being the main draw and reason for us choosing to stay in Brooklyn. Now being familiar with the area, however, I would highly recommend Brooklyn as the place to stay when visiting the city. It is very family friendly, has numerous great restaurants, bars and live music and is very aesthetically pleasing. We love walking down the brownstone lined streets, seeing the many piers so creatively designed for families, going to the Brooklyn Promenade, seeing the beautiful views of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. Lastly, it is very easy to get from Brooklyn into the city. The subway system is much easier to navigate than what one may think!"

"I have made a few driving coast to coast trips& other travel as Im retired now...besides the Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls is a Beautiful, Awesome place to visit& walk, our hotel Hyatt Place was adequate price , breakfast there was $11 , & was an Awesome spread/ selection & close walking distance to both sides of Niagra Falls This was my 2nd visit to Niagra Falls ...I recommend bringing a passport & visit the Canadian side for a full view of the Falls, the American side is more of a side view( but one is closer to the Falls), but both are TERRIFIC to view We walked across the bridge& walked on both the American& Canadian side.Nice easy walking paths & some stairs, good exercise Both sides have boat rides( the American side is 3 in one, boat ride, crows nest ( near the Falls)& the tall veiwing platform...& the Cave of winds is another walking attraction with stairs& get close to Falls down below...both attractions one is given a plastic rain poncho, but one will get soaken wet& wet shoes & maybe opt to bring a change of clothes & shoes....also the mist coming from the Power of the Falls& the wind , in some places one may appreciate a hoodie, hat or umbrella as one walks on the American or Canadian side to protect from getting wet from the mist...I like both sides& again I recommend to YOU to see both sides...American& Canadian( coming back from Canada one will have to pay $1 a person in quarters..there are change machines , but have quarters ready)...MAY 2024 experience I Love to walk& no better place to get a good exercise walk in Nature than Niagra Falls... Also at night the Falls are lite up in changing colors, was Gorgeous"

One of 544 reviews:
"Albany felt safe to walk around. There were a few side streets, I wish I didn't walk down, but after spending time exploring, we were able to learn the streets fairly quickly. We were able to park at our hotel and then walk around the neighborhood, it appears if we had parked on the street, it would have been a nightmare, so i def recommend finding someplace to park and is not far from where you are staying. We stayed at the Morgan State House, parked in a secure lot behind the Morgan State House (only $10 a night) and walked up the street towards the Egg to see our show. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at "Dove and Deer", as well as "Rosanna's". Breakfast we enjoyed "Iron Gate Cafe". All within walking distance. Everywhere we ate we were able to walk in and be served after waiting no more than 10 minutes. It was a nice relaxing weekend."

"The most friendly people and beautiful city. It is such an historical place! We went to the Teddy Roosevelt Inaugural Site which was so informative. We took a free tour of City Hall and went up the observation tower. We also went to the Frank Lloyd Wright Martin House, which was beautiful and very informative tour. We enjoyed a day at the zoo and went to Niagara Falls. All of it was great. My favorite was seeing the musical "Hairspray" at the Shea Theatre in downtown Buffalo. We enjoyed the local pubs and restaurants, especially Bar Bill (amazing wings and weck sandwich), Mighty Taco (young man was a great representative of the restaurant and recommended the "Buffito," which was delicious), Ted's Hot Dogs, and Thirsty Buffalo, where we got to watch the hockey game with the Sabres fans. On Mother's Day we went to Mass at Our Lady of Victory Basilica. What a beautiful historic building! Yes, we crammed a lot into just a few days, so we'll probably have to go back and do the Naval Ship tour."

"The "downtown" area is great with all the shops and restaurants. It's often hard to find parking as it gets busy; however, there is parking available off the main street if you don't mind walking a bit further. We also enjoy the mini golf in the area (Pirates Cove and Goony Golf). For breakfast, the Lone Bull is one of our favorites. Most restaurants we've tried for dinner are as expected for vacation towns (i.e., decent food but nothing overly special), but if you're looking for something slightly more "upscale" I'd recommend the Tavern on the Lake at Blue Water Manor, or Cate's Italian Garden in Bolton Landing."

We absolutely loved our stay here! Our room and all the common areas were incredibly clean. Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were kind and so incredibly helpful. It was really great value for our money, and very close to the main part of the village. Breakfast was awesome! Huge kudos to all the staff; especially the front desk staff, the cleaning staff, and the staff in charge of breakfast. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to others!

If I needed to stay somewhere near JFK for a flight the next day, I would definitely not stay at a Comfort Inn. I would spend the extra $50 to $100 to get a decent room, a quicker shuttle from the airport to the hotel (there was no problem the next day from the hotel to the airport). Spend the extra money, you'll be glad you did.

Stay huddled in your room with the door locked and bolted. Do not go out , especially at night. Have food delivered. The combination of the magnificent Saratoga Race Track, the Saratoga entertainment complex, along with a town loaded with very nice shops and restaurant make this an annual visit for us. I especially like to visit when the Philadelphia Orchestra is in town for its annual visit. Combine a night time concert with a day time track visit along with dinner at a local restaurant. Because of rain we went to the Lake Placid Olympic Center and were lucky to see a women's hockey tournament. We went to Whiteface Mountain which was awesome. Cost $50 to take our car up to the mountain and then an elevator ride up to the summit. A MUST DO! The walk around Mirror Lake did not allow us to see the Lake (disappointment) but the houses were neat.
