The bedroom was big and have a little desk. Adequate to work or eat a snack. The bathroom was big and very clean. The host was lovely and she even helped me in a medical emergency due to the cold. I am very grateful for everything she did to accommodate us in our stay, since we stayed 18 nights. Extremely good location at walking distance from parks, the lake, coffe shops and restaurants! The host also offers rental clothing, transfer to the airport and laundry for a small fee. Overall excellent!

An excellent space with plenty of room for one or two travelers The Bujak family that runs this space are lovely and helpful people. Great value too in a town where everything is expensive. Also about a ten or so minute walk to the center of town, easy to do, no getting lost. And at the end of the day good to have a little privacy. Highly recommend.

WOW. Apart from being cold (-5 to -15 at beginning of April) if you wore the correct clothing like us, it was beautifully spectacular. We found the town folk very friendly, apart from the town scum hanging around the Mall which brought the town down. Visually, just WOW! We did 3 tours in 3 days, Northern Lights, Dog Sledding and a Snow Mobile Tour. All were amazing. My highlight was meeting some special people who had an influence in my piloting career, Buffalo Joe & Mikey McBryan at Buffalo Airways. In Australia we'd watch 'Ice Pilots NWT' back in the day. These 2 gentleman are a credit to the Yellowknife and surrounding communities and the reason why we chose to fly to Yellowknife from Australia. They were so accommodating, showed us around planes, chatted, told stories, showed us history about aviation in the NWT. It was GREAT.

Inuvik is a terrific place, but my warning is about meals.

Inuvik is a terrific place, but my warning is about meals. It is difficult to find open restaurants (none in the AM) so I recommend bringing in groceries or going to the store to purchase picnic essentials.

I really enjoyed visiting Yellowknife.

I really enjoyed visiting Yellowknife. It was my first time there. There are some very good museums to visit, particularly in the cold winter months when outside activity is more limited. I felt privileged to have the short bit of time there to learn a little more about northern life and some of the challenges they face.

We only stayed in Inuvik on our way to and from Tuktoyaktuk. There is only a takeout restaurant in town but the food was good. There is very little to do, so simply passing through was perfect. Frankly, would not recommend Inuvik as a place to spend much time.

We stayed in Yellowknife for five nights, which felt a bit long. Our main goal was to see the Northern Lights, but unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great — it was cloudy and rainy most of the time. We managed to see the aurora on two nights, though only briefly. If the weather is good, staying for about three nights would be enough, since there aren’t many places to visit during the day.
