We absolutely loved the private and homelike feel. Tucked away on the back road but super close to all that we needed. Last minute, we requested an extra night’s stay and the staff were so accomodating and helpful in making this happen. Staff were fast to respond and made us feel incredibly welcome. We will be booking Atupa Suites on our next Rarotonga stay.

Perfect spot. Right on the beach. Saw Whales every day just beyond the reef. Units are new and were very clean and well appointed. Air Condition was a bonus. Large deck with small pool was well used. The location was perfect - Some beautiful sunsets - and there were three bar / restaurants within 400m walk along the beach. We found the best happy hour at the Crown. Lots of options for relaxing, with outside seats on the deck, and loungers and table and chairs in front of the unit by the beach. Also came with Kayaks.

We had an amazing stay at this resort and would happily return again. The room was spacious and comfortable and the view from our room was absolutely stunning to wake up to every day. The pool area was beautiful and relaxing. The location was excellent, very close to Muri Beach, lagoon cruises, and Te Vara Nui Village, making it super convenient to explore the area. The nearby beach was gorgeous, with lots of little hermit crabs and wonderful views. The staff truly made the experience even better. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with taxis, bus timings, and even allowing us to store our bags and use extra towels after checkout. Overall, a fantastic stay with beautiful scenery, great service, and an excellent location.

Managed to catch a great special for 3 nights - really good value for money, loved the full buffet breakfast - no extra fees for kayaks, snorkelling gear or paddle boards. All staff from reception to the restaurant team, activities hut and cleaners were so wonderful. Wanted to book a few extra nights but unfortunately had no availability. Can't wait to return!

10 out of 10. Amazing place next to sea. All Indonesian staff are friendly, supportive and kind. They arranged pick up from RAR airport for nominal fee but if running public buses are available since property is on ring road. A 24 hours open supermarket only 10 minutes walk away. I highly recommend KiiKii motel.

We recently stayed at Kura's Kabanas and it exceeded our expectations. It was exactly the low-key, no-frills accommodation we were looking for. The location is fantastic, right on the lagoon with direct water access. The kabanas are tucked away at the quieter end of the lagoon, past the sailing club, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We loved having complimentary kayaks available to explore the lagoon. The staff were friendly and helpful with any requests, and our room was clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent, with great water pressure. If you're looking for a luxury resort with lots of facilities, this probably isn't the place for you. However, if you want a more traditional island experience with a relaxed atmosphere and very few guests, Kura's Kabanas is perfect. There are only a handful of kabanas, so it never feels crowded. There isn't an on-site restaurant, so it's worth planning ahead if you'd like to prepare your own meals or head out for dinner. Fortunately, there are plenty of fantastic dining options around the island

Arorangi is a great spot as it is short walk to beach and also has access to luxury resorts. It is very close to the airport & Close to hospital, cafes, restaurants and personal care facilities - nails / hair / massage. Recommend car hire to get around the Island to access activities etc. We ate at restaurants and also eateries such as bakeries. Bakery near airport highly recommended as well as Spaghetti Hut - great Italian. we hiked up mount Te rua manga - the needle and also a smaller mountain in arorangi - great views! Rarotonga still has the lovely undeveloped rural feel to it

We booked 9 days which just right as we missed a Tuesday with different time zones, so ended up 1week. If we'd booked 7 days it would have become 3 days because of the time difference. The supermarket was well stocked as were the many fruit and veggies stalls. I was still able to get my cappuccino fix.

Supermarket and Polynesian Car Rentals right next door to the villa. Recommend Vaimua Restaurant for an upmarket dinner and the Beach Hut for casual dining. A lunch at the Maia Gardens is a must which is in walking distance of the villa. Local bus was great to get around on which stops outside the supermarket. It was a great location. Would recommend the snorkelling to see the turtles with the sea scooters. Best way to travel the island is on a scooter.

Enjoyed the area where the boats departed for what became Aotearoa/NewZealand. We ate often at Tiare’s in Muri Beach. Muri Beach itself. Yes easy to navigate Ngatangiia. Water sports for all who require them at Muri. Church - rugby field and the weekly over water show in Muri village.

Rarotonga has all that you need for a pacific winter holiday. Restaurants are amazing, great selection for all price ranges. Suggest hiring a car, just so you have more freedom to get out and about to explore all the different beaches and other resorts. The Saturday market is a must do, always something happening at every turn and smells of all the different food gets your taste buds going.

Rarotonga is great. Avarua not so much.

Rarotonga is great. Avarua not so much. It is fairly industrial in nature, and there really is not much to do. The Punanga Nui Market is open 8-2 a few days a week, and on Saturday is expanded. This is about the only thing to do in town, and after maybe 30-45 min you're done. There is a fair amount of traffic, few sidewalks (be careful walking around!), and most things close (including restaurants) at 15:00 or 16:00. It's kind of dirty and not very pretty. There are too many other places to go on the island that are much nicer!

Been here before and is lovely shallow lagoon easy for swimming & kayaking with some fish to see snorkelling. This time there is a shocking amount of sea algae in the water and covering the beach. Is evidently a common problem due to run off from resorts. Was okay either side of high tide.
