The staff was very welcoming. I felt like home. Room was small as compare to the rooms i generally stay in but the roof top made me feel that i am staying in a bigger space. They prepare amazing Colombian coffee and gave me bigger cup as lady at front realized that i enjoy good coffee.

Seriously incredible. One of the best experiences I've had anywhere, ever. Great location, great amenities, super comfy bed and powerful AC, 24/7 front desk staff/bar, bomb Italian woodfire pizza restaurant & awesome brunch cafe (2 restaurants!) in the first floor of the hotel. the 2nd floor is like a chill hang area, a covered work space/room, and then out on the uncovered patio a jacuzzi, wood barrel polar plunge & sauna, & a Turkish bath room.

The rooms were very clean and big with all the facilities and the view of the front window was amazing, you have a complete view of Cali. The roof top bar/restaurant was very nice to spend some time with friends eating, drinking and dancing in the balcony. The shower was really nice with a window to have an outside view of Cali as well

Good location. The staff was amazing with helping me with all questions. I was able to leave my bags for early check-in. The penthouse is amazing. Just wish it had a jacuzzi. I was always to communicate with staff and the staff would reply ASAP. I recommend this place to stay for quality and customer service

The place was clean. The food served at breakfast was good. The staff was attentive. I had a room towards the front of the property so I could her the traffic at first. However, after some time I got used to it. The staff was also extremely helpful.

It was great place if you like salsa to learn the cali way. That was deal destination for it. Unfortunately we got lost and we went to undesirable places, it was scary and even taxies didn't want to stop to take us on board. When you go to Cali center take Uber because the walk can be dangerous.

We decided to stay in Buga instead of going back to Cali...

We decided to stay in Buga instead of going back to Cali before our flight. Its a charming town and we would love to stay there again and spend more time. We were near the famous church. People in this town are nice and it is a safe place to stay. The bus we took from Manizales dropped us off on the side of the freeway instead of the bus terminal as it was headed to Cali. No worries, there are plenty of taxi's there to take you to town.

Playa Ladrilleros is a great experience for nature lovers. It is not a place to find luxury, so it won't be for everyone. There are lots to discover around the area. The people from Ladrilleros are friendly. Price of food and other things in the small shops are the same as in the rest of the country. Only way to get there currently is by boat (there may be flights in the future), they don't have a way to get rubbish out, so there is some rubbish around, plastic bottles etc. Hopefully that can be fixed.

My trip to Tulua was not for "tourist" reasons; my friend was being married to her Colombian fiance! Because I didn't do the traditional "tourist" activities, I was more immersed in the culture, family, and food. From a culture standpoint, I was with a Colombian family that taught me so much about politics and daily life for Colombians. The family structures and homes were super interesting to me. We were running errands before the wedding, and I was so impressed with the kindness and patience of all Colombians (even if they are super late! haha), and how affordable life is in Colombia (ex: about $10 to get my nails done for the wedding). Towards the end of my trip, we went to the Cafe Montana Posada located in the mountains of Roldanillo for a cup of coffee made from the coffee beans grown on the mountain. Some of the food I enjoyed was: arepas, ajiaco, lulada, pan de bono, empanadas, postre de natas, torta negra colombiana, Bocadillo de Guayaba, brevas con manjar blanco, and much more!

Alcala was a very small backwoods town with little to offer. I would suggest the next town called Quimbaya as a better option. Better facilities and tourist attractions near. Good restaurants and supermarkets and stores with better service.

Most people come here for the Calima Lake.

Most people come here for the Calima Lake. The closest lake access is about a mile from the city center; there are various kinds of boat rides, kitesurfing and kayak rentals, and various other waterside amusement. There are no officially designated swimming areas, but in practice some people do swim in quieter areas. The water is quite clean and not too cold, but once you step out of the water, it often does feel chilly, what with the wind. The town itself is unremarkable; there is a church, an Ara supermarket, a few good bakeries and farm stands, two ATMs, and that's about it.

The riverfront walkway and San Antonio are definitely the areas to visit but we also enjoyed an Alameda market food tour to get a sense of a normal neighborhood. One of the highlights was Cristo Rey hill, although that takes a little planning because you have to reserve a timeslot in advance (free) and arrange a taxi or Uber to get there. Salsa is also a highlight and is pretty much everywhere. While in some posts Cali has gets a bad rap for safety, we felt completely safe walking around during the day and on the riverfront and San Antonio at night, of course being aware of our surroundings.

Excellent town, very friendly people.

Excellent town, very friendly people. Very religious, safe, excellent places to eat. We walked at night, quite some people around even families. Weather is good. Our pick for El Encanto hotel was great. Very economic and close to the Basilica We ate at the restaurant of hotel El Meson. Excellent food. We didn't stay at their hotel. Difficult access for luggage and no parking

The city has such a vibe.

The city has such a vibe. And i found it much safer than I imagined, but the traffic is a nightmare. Use the Mio - super cheap and efficient - and if you can use the Mio cable car up to Siloe. Waunana restauant was great. The market (Galeria Alameda) is wonderful, especially for fruit. Off the beaten path, but the Casa de las Memorias del conflicto y la reconciliación is an amazing space on memorialisation and restoration after this history of conflict in Cali and the Pacific region. I was there for the Cali Marathon - such a great atmosphere.
