The place is beautiful, with incredible views of the mountains, total tranquility. Even though it's the rainy season, it's wonderful to enjoy the forest from above, the little birds, the mist over the trees. The staff is amazing, kind, attentive, super friendly, and eager to make sure you have an unforgettable experience. The food at Taru restaurant is marvelous, the wine cellar has an amazing wine selection, and the sommelier takes the time to show you all the options you have. The room had a work area, which was perfect since I had a couple of meetings. The internet never failed. The coffee in the room was perfect, making you feel so comfortable that you don't have to leave. The entire place is designed for you to enjoy, relax, and be worry-free. They pick you up and bring you back from your private suite to the restaurant, pool, or just because...... They genuinely care about you so that, as a guest, you don’t have to worry about anything except relaxing and having a great time.

Beautiful spot right on the beach with an open air restaurant and bar. Grounds were lush. Beach had very few people each day. The staff were incredibly friendly. Johnathan was so kind to our children at dinner and encouraged them to speak Spanish. Alexis greeted us every morning at breakfast and shared about their culture. Roy arranged some great tours for us. Jairo was the most kind and attentive person.

I like the location, it’s walking distance from the beach. It’s also in an enclosed community which makes you feel safer. The pool is gorgeous. It’s a small apartment but fine for a group of 3-4 adults. The host was great, very fast with replying to concerns and helping as much as possible. The AC is fantastic especially when it’s hot and humid.

It is a safe place, the entrance is gated and security 24/7. The swimming pool was ideal temperature all day and the hot water from the tap was actually hot, not just warm. Beautiful garden to practice yoga and recycling bins to clasify all type of wastes. The staff helped me book a nice catamaran tour.

Playas del Coco was a really easy and enjoyable place to spend time in Costa Rica. It has a relaxed beach-town feel, with plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés and shops within walking distance, so it is very convenient as a traveller. I liked that it felt social and lively without being too overwhelming, and it was a good base for meeting other travellers, eating well and exploring the area. The beach itself is more of a relaxed walking/sunset beach than a serious surf beach, so surfers may want to travel elsewhere for better waves. But for food, drinks, atmosphere, convenience and a fun traveller-friendly base, Coco is definitely worth visiting.

Playa Hermosa was beautiful and peaceful, with stunning sunrises and sunsets. The black sand felt calming and relaxing, and the beach itself was quiet and uncrowded. It’s a perfect place for rest, relaxation, and enjoying the natural beauty.

Great location from airport, shuttle available if needed...I used a private driver, top notch resort, wonderful and friendly staff everywhere, first class amenities and truly a paradise you may not want to leave.

The town was somewhat messy with regards to rubbish on the streets and very uneven sidewalks for access to locations. Lots of good restaurants and cafes to suit most budgets both in town and along the beach. The Coco catamaran sunset tour was vey good.

It was way hotter than we anticipated so we stayed by the shade. The water was very warm and calm. There's not much to do other than lay down and enjoy the quiet. It's very hard to walk by the sand because it was extremely hot

The resort was nice, pool was refreshing. No premium drinks, a bottle of Crown was $90, and only 1 brand of beer. The food at the buffet wasn't the greatest. Fish was dry, salad dressings were odd or just oil and vinegar. One day I had a poached egg and the yolk was hard and the whites were runny. French toast was hard and tough on the outside and soggy on the middle. You could only eat in the specialty restaurants once for every 3 days of stay.

Coco is a very nice bech town.

Coco is a very nice bech town. It has now become very expensive. I use to live there but left because of the high price of rent. More than $1200 USD per month with shared, pay for laundry and no oven. I was told by the realtor that a two bed, two bath place with an oven and laundry would cost me more than $2000. Before the pandemic I was paying $800 per month for a two bed two bath with an oven and free shared laundry. I left Coco for about a year and when I returned (after the pandemic) all of the rents were at least $1200 USD per month. Extreme price gouging for sure. Still Coco is a very nice place but has become a very expensive place also.

The beach is quite nice.

The beach is quite nice. The sand is dark and it gets very hot in the afternoon. Your feet can feel burnt if you walk very far. Personally I am not a fan of gasoline motors because of the noise and the fumes and there are lots of jet skis and motorboat traffic, especially on the weekends - several craft in the water every hour. Otherwise it's very nice, if you like peace and quiet, the weekday morning is perfect.

It’s a beautiful place if you’re looking to relax and enjoy sceneries. It’s very Humid there but, worth it. It’s not much of a party place if you’re looking for a younger crowd to hang out and have fun. Also, some of the excursions involve a lot of hiking. So, bring comfortable gym shoes or water shoes.
