Lovely property. The location was ideal and was steps from the town castle. We secured parking within a short distance but we did arrive early and it was off season. I don't know how this property accommodates parking during the busy season but it could be challenging. The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choices and served with white table cloths in a great setting. Every staff member we met was very kind and hospitable. Our room on the top floor in a dormer was very large and comfortable. The onsite restaurant was very good and made it super convenient as the options in the town were quite limited for dinner.

The staff was great! They made sure we knew how to check in when we requested a later check in. The room was spacious and clean. The view of the lake was beautiful. The staff told us about the island across the lake and how to get to it so we were able to explore that. The breakfast was full and the staff was efficient. Overall a great place to stay right on the lake!

Everything was just perfect. From the first moment on, it was clear that this is a very well thought threw concept. Everything is local and tiny details make it an exceptional experience. Room was lovely and the terrace with birds and bees is like something out of a movie. Eventhough spa area is quite small, it has everything. Wine and food were to die for, every single member of staff was super nice. We would like to especially thank Christoph who was working in the restaurant while we were there. He did an amazing job!

This was our second visit in the autumn, the place is magical in this season. We love the location, the nature, the friendly staff. This is one of the few hotels worldwide where we could light a fireplace in the library room and play chess next to it while keeping the fire burning on our own. Really a wonderful experience!

This town is worth exploring.

This town is worth exploring. It has much to offer as places in bigger cities, but here on a proportionately smaller (and closer) scale. If you have any interest in archaeology, take a short trip to Masarykovo Namesti and see a branch of the South Moravian Museum to get a feel for the past.

Telč is a Picturesque town with a fascinating history. There are many walks and places with natural beauty in the surrounding areas. Try El grill de burro (Gril u Osla) restaurant which has great service, food and great presentation. The Pivovar Trojan is welcoming and the beer is good and worth a short walk from the square.

So many twisty streets to follow and then, BAM, a gorgeous group of buildings, or a fabulous church. Lots of lovely spots to enjoy food and drink. The Gobelin tapestry museum and tour really satisfied my love of Czech crafts.

If you want to get off the tourist track, try Jihlava!

If you want to get off the tourist track, try Jihlava! The town itself has a charming square that is not stuck in time - this is a normal Czech town with a super ugly shopping center right in the middle of the square. Also in the center, there are tours of catacombs under the town and a zoo. Jihlava also makes a good base for day trips around southern Czechia (such as Telc or Trebon).

It is a great old town with plenty of things to see, especially if you are into historical sightseeing and lovely nature/surroundings. Just make sure that you come at the right time. Due to our trip to the Czech Republic in January, we did stop in Znojmo, but were a little bit surprised that most of the sights have April-October opening time.

Such a pretty town!

Such a pretty town! Its enormous square, which is really triangular, is lined with pastel coloured arcaded houses. It is very pleasant to walk in. At the end of the square is the castle which has an interesting history and lovely rooms. There are many cafes & restaurants in the town. Not too many tourists which is great. We ate at Zachariah’s in the main square and the food was traditional Czech at very reasonable prices.

We’ve been several times before and hope to go again! It is very atmospheric for a town centre stroll, is a good centre for travelling around on foot or by public transport and has lots of bars and restaurants. And the sun always seems to be shining.

Jihlava is a quiet small central european town.

Jihlava is a quiet small central european town. It has a lot of charming architechture particularly in the old town and areas near there. The locals were helpful despite my not speaking Czech language. The journey here was for me to see someone I care about deeply which is why I could have stayed far longer. Getting around Jihlava is really simple. In the heart of the old town everything is a short walk to you. However for those further afield areas there is a public transport system including trolley buses.
