The room was nicely decorated and the street was really quiet. Breakfast had a good variety and was tasty. The location is right in the city centre, but also on a calm street.

Our experience with this accommodation was absolutely amazing! The apartment was beautifully decorated to the last detail, and every element of the interior felt thoughtful and luxurious. We were most impressed. Our experience with this accommodation was absolutely fantastic! Everything was new, clean, and you could tell that the owners put attention to every detail. The rooms are stylish, thought out to the last detail and have a unique design that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The advantage was that we didn’t have to arrive at a specific time as we were given a code which we used to get into the apartment. The hotel is located in the historic centre, so all the sights and charming streets of the city were literally at our fingertips. While parking is not right in the center, the nearby parking lot is only a 5 minute walk, which we didn’t mind at all. . In the morning we enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, which serves à la carte dishes - everything was fresh, the pastries beautifully crisp and the coffee perfect. The great breakfast experience also brought us back in the afternoon for coffee and dessert - I must say they have some of the best cakes we have ever tasted! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful and friendly, which only added to our overall great impression. We definitely recommend this accommodation - it was an amazing experience that we will remember for a long time!

Very nice room, clean, with great balcony. The building is brand new and well kept. The breakfast is exceptional - there is everything from pastries and sausages to fresh fruit and vegetables. The most pleasant aspect of our stay was the staff - namely Erika, who is the single most exceptional employee of the hotel!

This hotel truly feels like a hidden gem—small, spotless, and wonderfully cozy. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and come with balconies that offer breathtaking views. Breakfast was not only fresh but genuinely delicious, and the meals at the restaurant were unforgettable, especially the steak, which was perfectly cooked. The freshly brewed beer and mouthwatering desserts made every meal feel special. What stood out was the staff. They were so warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything, which made the entire stay even more enjoyable. The relaxation area, with its pool and sauna, was such a peaceful retreat—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The location couldn’t be better. There’s a supermarket, a bike rental shop, and some great pubs just a short walk away. The lake is only two minutes from the hotel, and it’s such a beautiful spot for a quiet stroll. Plus, the hotel is an excellent base for road trips to explore the surrounding area. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient escape!

Very quiet, with great, friendly staff. I have olive skin type, now quite suntanned, and I did not experience any racism. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed. They have beautiful, amazing, spacious, and clean rooms, also outside patio for breakfast, that is included with stay. It is older hotel, but it has charm, at least for me! For that reason, I will stay 1 more night.1 more night🙂

Excellent Hotel. Spacious, family-friendly accommodation with beautiful lake views, great beach facilities, and healthy dining options. The area is peaceful and ideal for relaxation. However, the stairs and steep path to the lake may be challenging for those with mobility limitations, and a car is essential for accessing nearby amenities.

The place is truly picturesque: right nearby lies a quiet lake, surrounded by lush green forest. Just a hundred meters from the hotel, there is a lift that takes guests straight into a magical woodland with breathtaking views. Along the forest trails, you can enjoy peaceful walks, or, if you wish, rent bicycles or scooters and set off on a little journey among the trees and fresh air. The hotel itself is a highlight of the area. It offers delicious and varied food, with a warm, friendly, almost family-like atmosphere. Cozy restaurants and cafés are within walking distance, so everyone can find something to their taste.

This picturesque city sits on the banks of the Lipno Dam.

This picturesque city sits on the banks of the Lipno Dam. It's a magical place that was flooded by half of the dam. You can still sense the presence of the flooded houses and the spirits of those who lived there. The church dominates the landscape, pointing you in the right direction—to heaven. It's a place you must see and feel! Believe me...

Železná Ruda is a great base for seeing the Šumava/Böhmerwald national parks -- quiet but with a decent selection of shops and restaurants. On the Czech side of the border, we enjoyed catching the quaint single-seater chair lift up the Pancíř mountain. Over the border in Germany, we enjoyed taking the cable car up the Grosser Arber mountain and walking around the Arbersee lake. We visited at Easter, outside of the winter and summer seasons, so a few attractions were closed when we visited. There was still plenty to see and do, though.

Good restaurants and cafes on the pleasant square. Nice walks, impressive lookout tower (rozhledna). Bike rental worth it. A short drive to the excellent beach with sun-lounger/shade rental, pedalo boats, paddleboards, drinks, friendly staff etc. Co-Op supermarket and corner store (potraviny) limited but good enough.

My visit to Kašperské Hory was nothing short of amazing.

My visit to Kašperské Hory was nothing short of amazing. This charming city welcomed us with open arms, set against a backdrop of breathtaking nature that promises adventure and serenity in equal measure. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the city's vibrant atmosphere and the warmth of its people. Dining in Kašperské Hory was a highlight, with restaurants offering exquisite meals that showcase the best of local cuisine. Each dish was a delight, serving as a perfect end to our days spent exploring the surrounding natural beauty. But what truly sets Kašperské Hory apart is its rich tapestry of history and the abundance of educational walkways for tourists. These paths are not just walks; they are journeys through time, narrating stories of the past with every step. The pinnacle of our historical exploration was the visit to Kasperk Castle. Nestled quite close to Kašperské Hory, the castle stands as a testament to the area's fascinating history. Its majestic presence is complemented by the stories and legends that echo through its walls, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in the past. Another unforgettable experience was our trek to Pusty Hradek. The effort was rewarded with an awe-inspiring view of Castle Kasperk, a sight so magnificent it's etched in my memory. The panoramic vista from Pusty Hradek offers a unique perspective of the castle, framed by the natural splendor of the region, and highlights the harmonious blend of nature and history that Kašperské Hory embodies.

if you hiking, biking, running, swimming, fishing, or just wishing to have silence - it is excellent place but do not forget to have food with you because super/restaurant is closing too early and nothing you can find in the city suggest renting car because it is very small city and one central street of 100-200 meters, no more. .. but city itself has nothing to see inside. after 19:00 you can find only alcohol everywhere and not any small piece of food :-) ...

A nice village with both a beautiful Czech National Park and a German national park nearby, and you can start hiking (is for me going uphill in nature) or cross-country skiing within 10-15 minutes walking from where I stayed. It has a brewery hotel on top of a ski slope, not too far walking from the town center, for those who love hiking. It hosts a number of restaurants, and Asian and Thai massages are an option as well. It is also a good starting point for cycling in the two national parks. Public transport for the Sumava national park towards the east is mainly by bus, and in the summer, and trains go mainly north toward Plzen and south into Germany, from where the train mainly goes either south or west, and to the east the bicycle or the bus can be used. The historic twin station with the bordering German town has a nice restaurant with some nice beer on tap.
