I stayed at this hotel some ten years ago and thought it one of the most pleasant places I had ever been. It shows its age a bit now—the bathroom could be refreshed, and there is no air conditioning—but it is still exceptional. Unlike so many places on the Baltic coast, Dierhagen is not spoiled by droves of tourists. If I had more money, I would happily spend a week or two here.

The room was great and came with a balcony that I was not expecting. The bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning and appreciated that it was available until 12:00. I also enjoyed its proximity to the beach and walking and biking paths. My stay here was exactly as I hoped.

I love Zingst and the whole Darss for many years.

I love Zingst and the whole Darss for many years. Zingst itself is a beautiful small town with everything you could need. And you can do a lot of trips both to nearby and more distant surroundings - there are so many nice places to see!

The people were very friendly and kind.

The people were very friendly and kind. We came for the 80th Liberation ceremony of the Concentration Camp and Prisoner of War Camp and the organizers were very committed and wonderful. Barth is a lovely, quaint town.

This was my second trip to Ribnitz-Damgarten.

This was my second trip to Ribnitz-Damgarten. If you enjoy being near the water and boating activity, this is an easy-to-like place to spend some time. Walking the city is safe and easy. There is a great deal of history here. The Marienkirche is fascinating and has a wonderful exhibit that looks at the human side of challenges (World War). I enjoyed the visit to the Clositer and Bernsteinmuseum very much. The park was a lovely place to stroll when not watching sail boats dart across the bay. The shops are interesting and the assortment of restaurants is lovely. This is a good spot to use as a base for a day trip to many places - use the Ribnitz-Damgarten West station. I enjoyed Stralsund tremendously and highly recommend the Oceanarium there. It looks at the BIG picture including the studies of how we need to respect the sea and affects of climate variations. You can also take the train to Rugen and outlying island areas dedicated to nature.

There was a café open only in the morning for fresh breads and stuff, it was a huge help, otherwise we needed to get into the car and go for a shop ride. We prepared our meals, the kitchen is well equipped. You could rent bikes, and also obtain fishing license at the local office.

I loved being there for a weekend.

I loved being there for a weekend. The town is small and charming, and the beach is lovely. I'd actually be happy to say there longer when it gets hot in the summer. The sea seems like it would be very nice to swim in..
