Really enjoyed my short stay, was looking for something on the beach that was affordable. The hotel is that and more as they have their own pool. The area, within their compound, is quiet from those seeking the attention of tourists. There is a bar and breakfast but I did not make use of the restaurant even though they can prepare meals if requested in advance. The room was clean, there was TV, AC and I had a beachfront room so I could sit on the balcony and work. Wifi was reliable and I am certain if I had inquired the family would have assisted me as best possible within reason. For example, when I went on a swim to the beach they asked if a wanted a towel ad advised me not to leave anything outside the gated area or risk loosing it.

Great location. The restaurant was perfect. High quality food. Rooms were nice size, good AC, price is reasonable. But it's the staff that makes this place absolutely the best place to stay in Boca Chica. Wonderful people.

The staff, from the front desk, to the cleaning ladies, to even the pool guy, were very pleasant and very helpful, even the security guards would greet you and say hello whenever you’re coming or going. The living room, bedroom, and kitchen, was very clean, and I enjoyed working out in the gym every day. The pool looked great and was well-maintained.

I went to Boca Chica every day for 12 days The water is crystal clear and the right temperature.The peoplewere super nice and the variety of food in all the restaurants was excellent and delicious!I will return in September !

I only used this as a 2 nights stop whilst waiting for a rearranged flight home. Booked it very late and got great reception and response from host to get me the keys and and settle in. Close to the airport (5 minute taxi ride) There's a supermarket within 10 minutes walk with ATM's and obviously anything you need for shopping. I didn't look around the area any further. The flat was fairly clean with basic amenities and if i needed to wait over again for a flight the i would definetly consider using this host again.

Fantastic village, beautiful sea with no waves because of the coral reefs, but there are too many scammers, especially Dominican gigolos (called Sanky Pankies, google before going to Boca Chica) which try to rob female tourists, please everyone be aware!

Boca Chica beach was funky in a good way.

Boca Chica beach was funky in a good way. One section seemed to be largely frequented by locals, who hung out at tables underneath a canopy of umbrellas. There were several restaurants. I was approached by a man who obviously recognized me as a tourist and steered me to a restaurant that took credit cards. They took good care of me. There were what looked like paddle boats on the beach, apparently for rental. Further down the beach there are modest hotels and maybe clubs. One place appeared to be a discotheque. This was not a place for people who want ritzy, it would be great for people who want local color. Note, there are packs of stray dogs hanging out, but they were harmless.
