"Wonderful resort town, full of life, nice hotels and restaurants, beautiful beach, gorgeous views, it is a must to visit the other beaches from the area. People are very nice and friendly, the food was delicious, we couldn't ask for more (it's true the weather helped a lot, 30 degress Celsius are not that common in the area, but we booked with 2 days ahead, when we've seen the forecast)."

"This little fisher village from former days has evolved into an elegant place to stay, with lots of facilities and accomodations. The right place for relaxing in a beautiful landscape near the Atlantic Ocean. There are lots of clean beaches, bike lanes and walking paths for outdoor activities. Special highlight: Praia de Pedras Negras in San Vicente! Organised boat trips are offered for exploring the Ria de Arousa. And last but not least: The fresh seafood on the table. Closeby, the tiny island La Toja, with ist famous soap factory and Gran Hotel are worth a visit."

"Lovely location and easy to find. Very disappointing service in the restaurant. Having requested a vegan meal 10 days before our arrival there was no vegan meal. Waitress was unhelpul. I requested to speak to a Manager but none available. Whilst reception staff were sympathetic they were not able to influence the restaurant staff. The occasion was a 30th Anniverary treat and unfortuantely our experience was negative."

"It’s a beautiful location with access to the beach areas for free as well as tourist attractions such Mirxe de Rocha (our lady on the rocks) and others for a very cheap tickets of only €2-3 each. The food is delicious with lots of varieties and the Polpo being a famous one (it’s octopus stuffed with potatoes and herbs). Calm , peaceful, friendly people and beautiful! A very good walking route alongside the beach line. Definitely recommend!"

"Tui was gorgeous, wish I could have stayed longer than one quick night but was meeting up with friends on the Camino and had to move on. So many good restaurants as well and the river walk is lovely! If you're on the Camino, stop at Albergue Ideas Peregrinas for their breakfast. It's a full-service cafe with strong coffee and American breakfasts with the nicest toasted baguettes. They have a store as well attached with Camino provisions - ponchos, poles with rubber tips, hats, shorts, wool socks, all high quality."

Beautiful, luxury and clean. I loved the view of my bedroom, the bubble bath. The bed was really big and there was all the accessories needed in the bathroom. You can also sleep really well as it’s silent; and there’s no light coming as you can close theres something that totally block the light from outside. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of choice, from local food to international and lots of fruits. Staff was relaxed and polite.

A very lovely small town that has everything you need, with all amenities close by. It features a well-preserved historic center centered around a beautiful church. There are several thermal baths with natural springs bubbling up right in the town, including a former outdoor communal laundry pool filled with thermal water where you can soak and rest your feet. Additionally, there are plenty of cafes and bakeries perfect for breakfast and coffee, alongside numerous high-quality restaurants. A scenic river flows through the town, offering fantastic views from the bridge. The town also boasts a beautifully organized botanical garden and a free public swimming pool.

This town was such a nice surprise.

This town was such a nice surprise. I decided to divide my camino stage and Porriño was great to visit. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafés. It's a beautiful town architecturally, so I enjoyed walking around the town. It's also not a touristy town or a place overrun with other Caminho pilgrims (like me), so I was able to experience the town without a lot of outside influence. On a personal choice note, I actually enjoyed Porriño more than Valença and Tui. I spent a night in each of those locations on my Camino. The other two towns were much more focused on the tourist/pilgrim guests. While I enjoyed Valença because of its history and architecture, the town was more touristy than I would have liked. Porriño has all the charm of a small town, without the interference of outside . A final note about Porriño. The people that you interact with, restaurant, hotel staff or just people you meet on the street were always pleasant to interact with. They were always patient with my limited language skills and made me feel welcome in their town. Visit Porriño!

Nice town and pretty good hotel. Only one complain - I stayed in room 311. Some freaky internal designer placed a shelf above the sitting place of the desk. On getting up from the chair I smashed my head in that shelf. It still hurts! fortunately I have a strong head. Please remove that shelf. Next guest may have a weaker head....
