United StatesThe hotel management and staff were very attentive and accommodating. Welcomed immediately upon arrival, smooth check in process with a complimentary refreshment from the bar. Loved the views from our suite, the soaking tub, the large comfortable bed, the maxi bar (not mini bar) and the separate sitting room area. We had dinner at the restaurant on the patio, the service was outstanding. Compliments to the chef for an amazing gastronomic meal that was beautifully presented. The entire experience was too short, one night was not enough. We will have to come back to really take in all the beauty and relaxation offered by this truly wonderful place.

We had an excellent stay: Marc was a superb host during our stay, and told us everything about the Priorat region and the Clos Figueras winery. We tasted their main wines (included) and the wine cellar is fun to visit. Clos Figueras is in the middle of the Priorat region and centrally-located to make side-trips to the surrounding villages and the old monastery at Scala Dei (where the wine making started centuries ago).

The scenery is great, the hotel itself is small quiet and more than comfortable. However, Marc, the Chef makes this property a standout. His passion for gastronomy is evident in his preparations and his staff delivers. I would go back just for the food.

Everything was perfect. The host was super nice and helpful. The room exceptionally clean, breakfast was very good. House is lovely and located in a very peaceful surrounding.
There was heating and AC so it's perfect for every season

If you like a sense of adventure but a the same time getting...
If you like a sense of adventure but a the same time getting away from it all then Falset is a lovely place to stay. Lots of wineries around the area, some nice restaurants, and good for walking.. Falset also has a public swimming pool which also very nice.

A very special destination nestled in a quiet valley of vineyards and olive trees, surrounded by awesome mountains. The town of Escaledei is small but rich in historic value and boasts unique wines. Well worth a visit!

Porrera is in the heart of Spain's premier Priorat wine region and has 24 vintners in this village of about 440 residents. If you're a wine lover you could spend more than a weekend based in Porerra visiting wineries and learning about the reqion. Great local restaurants, though limited hours based on local customs. Short drive to Tarragona but it's a bit of a hike to Barcelona and Valencia (2 plus hours to both) so we decided to spend a long weekend here between visiting both cities and will definitely return to explore some more.

Very nice medieval village.
Very nice medieval village. Clean and renovated, however it looks a kind of deserted with only a few old people living in the vicinity. It is good location for rock climbers and nature lovers. There is no decent supermarket in the village. Petrol station is in the next village, but it is closed most of the time. Restaurants are very basic. To avoid unnecessary concerns, it is better to come decent quantity of petrol and some stock of food.

It is a tiny little village with just 480 inhabitants surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It is a sleepy, boring quiet little village and you'll definitely need a rental car. It wouldn't be a destination per se, just a place to base yourself to explore the region.

Cultural heritage site, with ruins of the castle that was one of the last bastions of the Arabs when it fell to Ramon Berenguer IV. The resident population is 30 but during the day large numbers of day-trippers arrive to enjoy the scenery. Access is by way of a windy and difficult road, so do not expect to move easily from place to place. The scenery is stunningly beautiful and there is great scope for walking and hiking but best to come prepared.

small town but very close to the wine region of Priorat,...
small town but very close to the wine region of Priorat, there are over 50 wineries around where you can easily spend a week visiting and tasting all the fine wine. We stayed and had dinner at Mas Trucafort where you should totally try their food, it's magnificent. Try their octopus, home-made soup and lamb shank!

A most interesting location, with the mountains beyond, hilltop villages nearby, the ancient monastery, and the original Priorat winery which was taking in the grape harvest beginning wine-making when we were there. Excellent winery tour. Good food and wine locally.
