The location was wonderful, people friendly. My doggo even got a welcome treat! And the breakfast was fantastically Finnish!

Kätkä Lake Lodge is truly a magical place! We really enjoyed our stay here and honestly, the lodge was our favorite stay during our week long trip to Finland. Firstly, Mikko, the owner is a fantastic host. Always there to answer our questions and really appreciated his help/comments regarding road conditions before we got there. Second, if you are looking for a place that provides peace and tranquility, the lodge is it. We really enjoyed snowshoeing on the trail across the way, it made me so happy! The breakfast options were great as well - lots to choose from. My friend is vegetarian and she enjoyed the spread as well. Kiitos very much Mikko!

The staff was really hospitable and figured our group of 26 people a meeting room at night to gather up and spend some time together.

Hotelli Olof is conveniently located between the Finnish train station and the Swedish train station. My room was clean and comfortable. On weekdays breakfast starts at 6:30 AM. That was very helpful for me to get a good meal in before my early train. The staff were very accommodating in helping me transition from a late train coming in, and an early train leaving the following morning. They pre-arranged taxi transportation to and from the train stations for me. Their excellent customer service and attention to detail was much appreciated.

It is located in a quiet area. The breakfast was good.

a touch of vintage decor clean and tidy staffs helpful and zealous breakfast is good and the decor of place i have breakfast is so vintages including the 　tableware. i like a quite location to station is like 10 mins walk but when it snows. it’s not gonna be ok and call a cab is like 10euro i check out 6:00 in the morning and can’t enjoy the breakfast. staff prepare a to-go-breakfast for me. it’s so thoughtful though can’t compare with those 4-5stars. staying here somehow feels like home. i guess thanks to all the staff that make you feels like home

Comfortable, charming, and sweet accommodation in a great location. The proximity to the train is amazing as it is just a few steps away from the platform and yet the room is quiet and super easy to navigate. The cafe is delightful, breakfast is lovely, coffee is solid, and the gift shop is great with local items and handicrafts. Definitely the best place to stay in Kemi.
