Beautiful modern hotel by the sea. Comfortable room, very quiet. Fabulous views from the rooftop bar and gardens, great place to hang out in the evening, chilled atmosphere with good music. Vegan options for breakfast were pretty good.

Loved staying here. Staff were so helpful and friendly. My room was so comfortable and clean. I really did like the heated floor in the bathroom, a luxury. Breakfast was awesome, with so many choices. The hotel has so many comfortable places to sit and relax. Loved the faux fireplace. Great location within walking distance to everything I needed. Highly recommend staying here! I will come back and stay :)

The interior was super nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and there were a lot of options. The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was nice, most of the landmarks are just within 30 minutes on foot. This was the best hotel experience I've had so far.

The place was really great. I wanted to check out a different neighborhood of Helsinki on my second visit and this was near some interesting spots. Nice bars nearby. Easy access to the train station and airport. The place was cool and funky and the staff were excellent. Breakfast downstairs was amazing.

Wonderful hotel close to the city, but it feels like it is somewhere deep in the forest, quiet and peaceful. It's on the shor e of small lake with incredible views. For families with kids, there is an amazing playroom, kept our toddler entertained. Breakfast is tasty and served on a 2nd floor with a lake view. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful vacation.

The hotel location is very good which it is next to the main station. The room we booked was large, clean and had everything we need. We meet the reception staff (who is named IO). She is very friendly and helpful. We are thankful for her advices and supports during our stay.

The hotel itself is simply gorgeous. The rooms are nicely done, we had a newly refurbished room and it was stunning. Location was spot on. Centrally located. Service within the hotel was top notch. Loved ending the evening with a glass of wine in the bar. Lovely ambiance.

It's a clean, beautiful city, but there's very little to actually see or do. Food is of good quality but expensive. Actually, everything is expensive. The only thing I truly recommend doing is taking the ferry to Suomenlinna. Save this trip for when it's very convenient (we were already seeing Estonia), like if you are coming to a conference or music festival, or something. It would be a nice stop if we were road-tripping and seeing all the beautiful parks and wilderness beyond the city. We ate at PSH-LOVE-KA by PyShburg - odd name but great food and atmosphere. We also tried some amazing tomato soup with goat cheese at Cafe Bar No 9. We didn't get to try but we admired the food stalls by the port and in the old market. I wouldn't bother with the Ateneum Art Museum or the Rock Church. I regret buying tickets to the former, and I'm glad I took a look and skipped the latter. I got more out of walking about the lovely old cemetery and bay-side park in Lapinlahti, where they even have an excellent outdoor gym.

We had neither the time nor the need to explore Vantaa, as our hotel served merely as a base for trips to nearby golf courses (a 45-minute drive away). We could have found accommodation closer to the courses, but proximity to the airport was the deciding factor due to our early return flight. We noticed that most accommodation outside Helsinki falls below the quality standards we are accustomed to in other parts of Europe; many of the hotels resemble hostels.

I have visited Helsinki a couple of times in the past and...

I have visited Helsinki a couple of times in the past and chose to stay nearer, but not in, the city centre. I deliberately chose this location as a peaceful alternative. And I loved it. I had access to a car which made it easier to get around but the tram station is not far way giving easy access to the rest of the city.

If you love eating out Helsinki is the place to be. There must be a restaurant for every local because there are that msny in every street and precinct. The market place during day is wonderful but at night you can buy food also. The town is very clean, no grafitti, no beggars sitting at every corner as in most countries. No vacant shopss or Vape shops or charity shops as in Scotland Can’t praise it enough

Vantaa was a good place to stay out of Helsinki with much reasonable prices. The aviation museum is a must see and spent half a day there. The mall near the hotel was very good and spent a whole day there. We used Vantaa as a break between trips but would spend more time in future.

Go south to see the magnificent sea, there is a magnificent 20 km Rantaraitti road by the sea. You can walk, run and cycle there. The road is illuminated and really safe to move around, because the richest residents of Finland live next to the road. For example, the directors of listed companies with their families and residents of embassies. I have also lived there myself. I really enjoyed my time in Helsinki.

I really enjoyed my time in Helsinki. The city is clean, safe, and easy to get around thanks to its excellent public transport. I loved walking around the city center, visiting Suomenlinna, and spending time by the waterfront. The locals were friendly, and it was easy to communicate in English. During my visit, I didn’t encounter any homeless people, pickpockets or street scammers, not like some of Eastern Europe countries you can smell a urine on the corner of the street. Or lot of refugees fraudsters. The food was a mixed experience. I enjoyed several local dishes, but not everything impressed me. I tried a burger at the Hesburger near the train station, and it was very dry. It tasted as if it had been sitting in a warming cabinet for hours. Overall, Helsinki is a beautiful, peaceful city that I would happily visit again and recommend to anyone traveling to Finland.

Our primary reason for Vantaa was our need to be at the airport very early. The public transport runs super efficiently. We bussed into central Helsinki using 2 routes and both were excellent. Bus stops literally outside the apartment block. The train station is a brisk 10 minute walk away and again super service for Helsinki, the airport or connections to wider Finland.. Locally there's a a couple big supermarkets too.

The Helsinki metro runs through Espoo, and bus services are also very good. Tapiola is the cultural centre of Espoo, e.g. theatre, music. Also EMMA Museum of Modern Art. Sello in Leppävaara and Iso Omena in Matinkylä are great shopping centres.
