Excellent position. Highest point in Les menuires. Easy to ski down to sunny and miss any queues (not that there were any really at Easter at all). Family room with two bedrooms (feels more like a small apartment) has great views and a lovely little snug bedroom with bunk beds for kids. Swimming pool is fantastic. Food is excellent. Lovely meals (if you fancy something different/cheap then pizza Lili is a good option). We didn't go half board but it would be a good option. Breakfast is delicious. Staff are all really nice and helpful. Ski hire is next door/connected to hotel Prosneige ski school was great (and Jacks cafe next to it is good/good value/good coffee)

A very comfortable and welcoming hotel, with excellent facilities and immediate access to the ski slopes, which was one of the prime reasons for choosing this hotel. We had lunched at their slope-side restaurant, Le Grenier, on previous occasions and were sufficiently impressed to want to stay at the hotel itself. We weren't disappointed! In particular, all of the staff were excellent, and every one of them made great efforts to ensure that our holiday was a great one - which it was. Thank you to all of them for their diligence.

Brides is a lovely little centre for those who want an attractive location to take leisurely walks in the park and sit and watch the world go by from a shady cafe. We felt as if were part of a real community, going to the boulangerie for cakes in late afternoon and chatting to visitors at the cafes. If we had known how to play belote (a French card game) we would have been welcomed into games taking place in the park. The visitors are mainly aged 50+, many of whom are visiting the town for its thermal cure and well being activities. Getting to the mountains without a car was a challenge as the buses are infrequent and only early in the day. The telecabin to Meribel only runs on Sundays. The effort to get to the mountain villages was well worth the effort. If you want to visit the Three Valleys and have a sense of French life and culture, Brides is the perfect location.

An exceptional stay that combined comfort, style, and an unbeatable alpine experience. My favourite place was undoubtedly the apartment itself , Tiama by Emerald Stay, thanks to its cozy yet refined atmosphere, along with the nearby slopes offering stunning views and effortless access to skiing. I enjoyed dining at several nearby spots within walking distance, with a great mix of casual and more refined options that made evenings just as enjoyable as the days. Getting around Courchevel is very easy, as everything is well connected and conveniently laid out. As a solo traveller, I found plenty to enjoy, from skiing and scenic walks to relaxing spa visits and soaking in the vibrant yet peaceful mountain atmosphere.

I have been coming to Méribel-Mottaret for over 30 years, almost every single year, and I keep choosing it over all its neighbours, deliberately and happily. What keeps drawing me back? Its exceptional position at the heart of the Three Valleys, bathed in sunshine from morning to evening. Unlike some of the more commercial resorts nearby, Mottaret has managed to keep a certain quiet dignity — no flashy distractions, just mountains, snow and skiing. Exactly as it should be. From here, the entire Three Valleys domain is at your feet, with no compromise and no detour. For anyone who takes their skiing seriously, that alone is worth everything. Thirty years on, it still feels like the right choice. Every time.

Great ski runs and great snow.

Great ski runs and great snow. The best ski resort I have ever been to. Night-life is also quite good, with reasonable choice of venues. Unfortunately, the town itself is poorly managed - rubbish disposal is a problem as buildings often do not have large bins - instead you have to walk your own rubbish to some large disposal containers, located centrally. Also, parking is a nightmare and you really have to pre-book paid parking. In summary, over-regulated town with local authorities on steroids, seemingly with something to prove. But nothing takes away from the great ski runs for all experience levels.

Quite a small satellite resort at the far end of the 3 vallees ski system, that having been said, it has everything you need including a reasonable choice of eateries, ski hire etc... At 1400m, at end of season snow can get 'mushy'. Easy connections into courcheval and then beyond....so a good base to ski courcheval without paying courcheval prices! if you ski at reasonable speed and ability (red), you can get over to the val thorens area and back comfortably in a day (but have access to the piste plan!)

In summary, disaster!

In summary, disaster! The actual appartement was great, location put it short walking distance to a lift, some shops (Ski rental, restaurants, bus stop). There is a ski room, garage etc so everything you would expect from a luxury rental. In the middle of our stay a shower door in an on-suite bathroom shattered/exploded whilst a guest was using the shower. Resulted in injury to guests hand and various glass cuts. No first aid kit in the appartement resulting in a lot of running around at night to find bandages and medical help. The property managers assessed damage and we thought that it was the end of it. I had $4000 deducted from my deposit after leaving the residence without notification or explanation. After weeks of back and forth we haven't received our security deposit back and the blame was laid on us and not a faulty shower door that injured a guest. On top of this the kids/guests got loads of splinters in their hands from a number of doors/surfaces. We had a great trip in Meribel, one of our favorite areas to ski in the Alps but was massively disappointed at the lack of support and understanding from Property owner and property managers. My advice to any one who wants to stay here is don't! Far better chalets and other rentals on the market which will treat their guests better.

Brides is a lovely small town ideal for those who want to enjoy the ski area of the Three Valleys but who want a more relaxed, low key environment for the evenings. There is a lovely park alongside the river to enjoy an evening stroll. There are a few bars and restaurants but you don't come here for night time entertainment.
