I arrived with my partner for his birthday and we both had a great stay there. The staff was amazing and very friendly, they even gave my partner a birthday card with the best wishes from them all and put a candle in his desert. We really enjoyed staying in one of their pods- floor heating was a nice surprise to have in the wintery days. The full Scottish breakfast was very tasty and so was their dinner. We tasted their rum and had tasty beer in their cute small bar. The location is great! So many things to see and enjoy around. I highly recommend the place and wish I can visit them again in the near future.

The location was perfect to end a day of hiking the West Highland Way. The Tailrace Inn has a bar on the ground floor and the rooms were above. The rooms were cozy and suited our needs. The bar was the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking and have a beer (or two) and a good dinner (make a reservation for dinner if you can). As good was the dinner was, the breakfast the next day was the star of the show with porridge as creamy and good as any that we have ever had. The hotel also provided a delicious packed lunch for us to take away for our next day of hiking. This was a wonderful choice for a place to stay in Kinlochleven.

The room was newly updated and very clean and comfortable. I had a view of the waterfall from my room and the staff were extremely friendly. Food was good and there’s a nice deck out back on the restaurant that looks over the loch. It was steps from the W. Highland Way making it the perfect location for me.

The stay was nice. Manager Praba was friendly and upgraded us to a deluxe suite. The room had a nice view of the mountains and the lake. One of the best views of the lake. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The room had a very nice scent, and it was very calming. The hotel also had a restaurant, couldn't try but the menu had a lot of options and was comparatively very well priced. The staff was nice and we loved the stay. Will come back if we visit Fort William again in the future.

Whats not to like. Very nice room in a beautifull (just renovated) mansion with lovely view over the loch. Very comfy beds and Emma was very friendly. Breakfast looked amazing and had everything you need. Location wise just between Glencoe and Fort William. Shared dining & living room were small but comfy and intimate.

The Boathouse is the most amazing and magical holiday location. The property is spacious and very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The views of the Loch and the Highlands are spectacular. Our host went out of his way to help us with a minor issue we were having prior to our arrival and I cannot thank him enough for his patience and assistance. We would recommend The Boathouse to everyone and hope to visit again one day.

The atmosphere / vibe of the Inn, the location, the food, the staff, the amazing bar and restaurant out the back. Bonus - it was adults-only. Local musicians came and played for us on the Sunday night which really made our evening. The room was cozy, warm, the beds were really comfortable, and the views outside when you wake up of the mountains are incredible!

Having visited Glencoe and around the highlands of Scotland,...

Having visited Glencoe and around the highlands of Scotland, particularly the West coast, since I was a child I have very fond memories of it and could always stay longer than our visits and time allow. Glencoe is just magical, anyone visiting for a first time will be blown away by it and couldn't fail to want to return.

Location was great, ideal for a base to explore from. Great wee walk to Kinlochleven and all facilities nice and easy to get to. Maybe pack a couple of citronella candles and close the windows before the midges get in, nothing different from the rest of Scotland, it's the price we pay for having a beautiful country. :-)

Nice town, couple nice walks. Thank goodness for the co-op or you would struggle for food like us with a little dog with us. She's a bit temperamental and can't sit still for long so restaurants weren't really an option. Could do with a couple takeaways (even a cafe, fish and chip shop etc.)

Kinlochmore (aka Kinlochleven - the same place give or take a bridge), has an interesting industrial history as well as nestling in the footsteps of Ben Nevis and at the top end of Loch Leven. Watching others on the rapids of the River Leven was fun. Co-op was well stocked and good for lunches. Also a stopping point on the West Highland Way.

I had a wonderful stay at Aos Lodges, Ballachulish, Glencoe.

I had a wonderful stay at Aos Lodges, Ballachulish, Glencoe. The place was absolutely beautiful, and the stay was incredible. Even though I was there for just one night, I honestly didn’t feel like leaving. The staff were very nice, kind, and extremely helpful, which made the experience even better. Everything felt calm, welcoming, and well looked after. I was a bit worried about network issues because of how remote the location is, but there was absolutely no problem at all. I’m on EE, and the network worked perfectly, just like anywhere else. I had even downloaded movies in advance thinking there wouldn’t be any signal, but that wasn’t necessary at all. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.
