Amazing small "boutique" style little motel/stay. Absolutely gorgeous grounds, immaculate room, gorgeous breakfast included in our stay, SO QUIET, and amazing HOSTS! Located in a very small English village, but close to everything, including Cambridge. Would love to stay there again for an amazing getaway!

Beautiful property with a llama farm next door. The room was beautiful and had all the amenities you could need. Bed and linens were comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing- best avocado toast I’ve ever had. Great coffee. Lovely staff. What more could you ask for?

The wife and I loved everything at the Thorpe Guesthouse in Hemingford. Location is superb, in the beautiful rural Cambridgeshire, the hosts were friendly and the room was simply exceptional: huge, comfortable bed, spotless, clean bathroom, and the place is so quiet, what a lovely place and a lovely weekend getaway!

The hotel is in a lovely location by the river and in a picturesque area of thatched houses. The atmosphere and decor of the hotel was perfect. Our room although small was really good with its own ensuite including a bath. Everything was so clean to a very high standard indeed. Breakfast was lovely, so much to choose from and piping hot. Staff were super friendly, but Julia was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for her. The history of this pub is amazing. I absolutely can recommend this hotel. I would stay there again for sure.

It was all a shambles. Room had no toilet roll or soap. Bedside cabinets had been removed leaving holes in the wall. Replaced with a dirty extremley dusty round table. Blanket on the bed I wouldn't have allowed my dog to lie on. Finally got toilet roll and soap after asking three times in an hour. Spa facility wasn't open which was not disclosed on the website. Very poor choice of food, none of which was fresh.

Small town with independent retail bars and restaurants.

Small town with independent retail bars and restaurants. I'm not sure if I was unlucky on the date I stayed, but some of the bars were very full and equally as rowdy. Not really what I expected in a picturesque town. I had a wonderful meal at Amore. They do have a Waitrose, if that helps!

A beautiful small town. Historic church and religious retreat. Well worth a visit. An exemplary "English" experience. Close to A1 but it felt a million miles away from the rush and bustle of modern life.

Both the pub and the above rooms are brand new, spacious and created using the iconic British interior design. Large bathroom with a bath tub and shower very practical, bright and comfortable. The room has everything you need even an iron board and a super coffee machine. The bed is large and the matrass was brand new when I stayed there and I slept very deeply after a good warm bath.. I will definitely recommend it!

The room was far to hot, no air circulation even though they supplied fans. They seem to know there was a problem but did not apear concerned that we did not sleep all night. The toilet seat needed changing. A new staff members need training. We had a tray of drinks dropped all over us by a young waiter that had only started the day before. I felt quite sorry for him as he seemed overwhelmed. The food was nice. Staff helpfull in general. If there was air-conditioning in the room and a few issues were resolved, I would like to return. The rooms are nicely decorated and good beds.
