It was a tipic village hotel in a pub house the room had an English charm nice view to gardens comfortable bed. The breakfast was super and the pub can serve good beers and excellent steaks. The staff was very kind.

Vert clean, underfloor heating on bathroom. Plenty of towels but no tea bags. Very quite when we stay but it was February. Menu looked good and fair prices, although we ate elsewhere as we didn't know the area, if we stayed longer or again, we would eat in the restaurant. All in all, a very nice place to stay and would definitely book again. Good value for money

This pub/hotel is billed as being in Old Sodbury, however, if you're doing the Cotswold's Way expect another mile off the route to get to this place!
We did enjoy our brief stay though. Great staff. Friendly.

It was a very quirky venue. In a good way . Play areas for the kids. Outside terrace area very nice eating area clean and welcoming . Food was good . Rooms were comfortable and clean . A bit of tlc could be applied with paintwork and decorations but our stay was pleasant .

I’ve visited Thornbury Castle twice, and both times were excellent. The atmosphere feels authentically historic, the service is attentive, and the overall experience is refined and consistent. A memorable place that lives up to a high standard.

Ideally placed in acres of open countryside. Plenty of walking and running routes all around for those who want that. A great breakfast is provided should you want it and the evning menu is varied. There are plenty of local eateries nearby and a few of these are walkable. The hotel is a little tired inside but not to a point that it spoils the stay. Be awrae that there is no lift available so you need to use stairs to get to the upper floors. I would happily stay again!!

Hawkesbury Upton is a nice village, centrally located for lots of tourist attractions. There are lots of nice walks in the surrounding countryside. It has a well stocked shop and 2 pubs. The Beaufort Arms is very nice, with good beer and food. The Fox Inn had recently reopened and was having teething troubles, which I hope they sort out.

Although it was a modern town centre, it was bright and well kept with some nice shops and cafes. It’s also not far to get to Westonbirt Arboretum where we were going to a concert so it was an ideal location.

Almondsbury Village is an attractive village with a pub and community shop. The Swan Hotel up the hill, on the by pass road (A38), does good meals. There is a lay by to see the views over the Severn estuary and both bridges from the top of the hill leading down to the village. If you are staying in the hotels on the bypass it's a challenging walk both to cross the dual carriageway and walk up and down the steep hill down to the village.

Lovely town with a historic regency feel. Would love to visit for longer next time. Everyone friendly, and a good selection of shops to browse. Lovely countryside but didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

The atmosphere was quiet and calm.
Good ambience still.
The rooms are ok.and to a good standard.
No one mentioned the hospital's menu if a guest feels like ordering lunch or dinner.
In otherwords I think you can sell the hotel more to your guests what you are about.
I was only there for a short stay on both occasions hence I couldn't explore much.
