Fabulously appointed self contained units with everything you could ask for! We particularly appreciated the mini fridge and fresh milk! Lovely little touches and great style. The bed is super comfortable and the shower room was perfect. We liked the environmentally.conscious approach! Brilliant!. We will be returning.... The location, the property itself, restaurant, the personel all were truly excellent. From beginning to end every detail was great. We also had dinner and both the food and the service were fantastic. There was also complimentary whiskey and sloe gin which is such a nice touch. Small details make huge differences.

I love this place. I visit every time I come to the UK. We stayed 2 nights in the decadent suite 23. It’s beautiful. We dined in the English restaurant which was some of the best comfort food I’ve ever eaten, had Thai massages, ole ty if amazing cocktails and then dinner at Bear which was sensational. It’s eccentric, orgasmic and incredibly unique. My favorite hotel in the UK by far.

We were given a recently remodeled room and it was comfortable, quiet and efficient retreat for our 4 night stay over Easter. The spa was a perfect distraction, several exercise machines and well functioning sauna. Our meals were inventive and for the most pare delicious.

You cannot fault Henley as a location.

You cannot fault Henley as a location. The river Thames is easily accessible from town (you walk alongside the river) and the town itself is well cared for and has that independent feel that many towns these days do not. Plenty of good places to eat and drink. The pubs all have their own character and "The Little Angel" (over the bridge - away from town) is to be recommended. Recently refurbished and good food served. Another recommendation for food is "The Flower Pot". It can be easily reached by car (outside of Henley town) but you can walk along the riverside path (it is 3 miles) to it. Shorter coming back if you come via some of the Chilterns. Stunning views this way. Henley has a train station too so easy to reach via Twyford station. Without a car, Henley is perfect for a short break as there is all you need on your doorstep re amenities and many walks from town into the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside (& the Chilterns).

It's a pleasant town, picturesque in places.

It's a pleasant town, picturesque in places. There is a good range of shops &c in the main streets and plenty of good to very good eating places. Boat trips of various types can be had where the main park adjoins the Thames, about 200 metres upstream of the Bridge. There is some short stay free car parking on streets and, that apart, there are several pay/display carparks.

High wycombe had a nice market square but that was the extent of the town, the rest was a bit run down, it had a very good shopping centre (eden), there were plenty of places to eat, the location was ideal for us to visit the local attractions (hell fire caves and hughenden house)

Beaconsfield is a lovely small village which we enjoyed walking through with its own independent shops and restaurants. We then drove to Bourne End Marina which is the head of the River Thames and is stunning. Finally stopped at Marlow around lunchtime and was very impressed with this town, fab shops, restaurants and bars.

Visit the museum and walk the main streets. Visit the gorgeous medieval church, St Mary’s. The garden in the center is beautiful, walk the paths along the Misbourne River, and I didn’t have time to explore the many excellent shops. I had no car so it was fabulous to be able to easily walk around Old Amersham!

Maybe good for back packers but not families as there’s nothing to do , only one Nepaleses lady who seemed nice but her English wasn’t the best so it was difficult to ask her anything as she said she’d only been there for 3 weeks and seemed like she’d not left the premises as she didn’t even know where the nearest town was
