Hotel Lumi’s owners, Michael & Nino and their family, were very accommodating, friendly and immediately responded to our inquiries & requests! They made sure of our comfort & helped with anything we needed: carrying our luggages up & down the stairs, to/from our room, & helping with our transport to the bus station & next destination. Hotel Lumi is fairly new, as such, everything is super clean, very spacious, beautiful huge closet, a table & 2 chairs, 2 of the most comfortable beds ever & cleanest and warmest bed linens!!!! It even has towel warmer in the bathroom & an A/C-Heating unit besides the heater by the window!!! Nino cooked us 2 fabulous breakfast, extra charge. There’s even a restaurant in front of the hotel, shopping mall & grocery stores within 10-minute walk. Hotel Lumi is the best private accommodation we’ve ever had in Georgia - fr Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, & Mestia so far!

This hotel was a luxury after 3 long days of hiking. The price is higher than others in the area, but still very affordable. After 3 days on the trek, we wanted to splurge a bit to recuperate for our final day of hiking. This hotel allowed us to do that. Our room was comfortable and clean. The balcony had a lovely view. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. There was also a hotel bar which was a nice place to unwind in the evening. The hosts were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for two nights in April and had a truly wonderful time. The host gave us a warm and friendly welcome, including their smart dog “Roki” 😊 The hotel is located at the highest point in Mazeri village, offering a stunning view surrounded by five beautiful mountains. We even had the chance to try skiing right in front of the hotel! The room was lovely and clean, and the food was delicious. We loved the peaceful environment and had an amazing time with our family. We truly love this place and would highly recommend it.

The hotel provided comfortable and spacious rooms that were well-maintained and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The host was courteous, friendly, and always ready to assist with any queries. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room tidy and stocked with fresh towels. The on-site restaurant offered a diverse menu and delicious food and breakfast is very cheap for 35 GEL per person because there were a lot of meals. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to local hiking trails. I had an amazing stay at Becho House. The combination of comfortable accommodation, food and excellent service made my trip memorable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We had such a lovely stay at this hotel. It is in the perfect location in Mestia, with views across the valley from the terrace. Our rooms were clean and comfy, and the showers had really good water pressure. The staff were so incredibly lovely and went out of their way to look after us during our stay. We also arranged a trip to Ushguli via the hotel and had such a fun visit with their driver. The food in the restaurant is great too - some of the best we had during our trip. We will absolutely be back to stay next time we are in Mestia!

You will be pleased with the friendly and hospitable hosts of the hotel. White bed linen and towels are waiting for you. There is a kitchen, refrigerator

It is a great spot to get to almost any place in the Svanetia. A peaceful village but at the same time touristic enough so you can come here without anything - you can buy almost everything here from food to clothes and hiking stuff. Old and new mix here: cows roaming the streets but ATMs and fast internet are standard; simple family bars and high class restaurants. You can stay here for a long time and still have places to go to.

Zhabeshi is the first overnight stop on the most common route taken by hikers walking the iconic Mestia-to-Ushguli hike. (There are alternative routes that bypass Zhabeshi.) The village is located in an exquisite valley just below the confluence of the Tviberi and Tsaneri Rivers, nestled under the slopes of Tetnuldi and Banguriani peaks in the Greater Caucasus Range. If you're into mountain environments and ancient villages steeped in history, it doesn't get much better than this.

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature...

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature. everything is authentic and not influenced by technology as it is in metropolitan areas. Air is clean and evening till morning is quiet. Godd place for hiking and camping, near by water falls and Ushba mountain has its impact on the place. I have not hiked until the Glacier however reaching waterfall area and crossing wooden bridges were thrilling enough for me. Just to highlight, as it is country side do not expect to have restaurants or Cafeteria or grocery shops. Locals with guesthouses and English language is not their preferred language. Russian language is commonly understood there. Expect simplicity and infrastructure of basic countryside with no complications. So far I had 3 visits to Mazeri, for sure I would prefer to have my own transportation to match my need and convince. If you would hire a driver there then should negotiate as prices varies and public transportation will be limited. Renting a horse is fun, if you cannot ride then can hire a guide along with the horse with extra pay. Hores rental is not expensive, during my visit about US $38 per day

Martvili Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder.

Martvili Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder. Paddle through its emerald waters on a boat, gazing upwards at the towering limestone cliffs adorned with lush greenery. The tranquil silence is occasionally broken only by the melodic chirping of birds and the gentle gurgling of cascading waterfalls. For an adrenaline rush, consider the zipline that soars over the canyon, offering a truly exhilarating perspective. While it may come at a slight premium, the experience is well worth it.

Mestia is the heart of Svanetia.

Mestia is the heart of Svanetia. The biggest atraction of the region is not it's capital by itself, but a nature around. Svanetia is offering a lot of hiking opportunities both for beginners and also for enthusiasts. Many minor local roads are unpaved, so access is possible onlty with high-clearance AWD vehicle or a local taxi drivers, often operation on Delica's. Keep in mind that taxi is not cheap in the area, so if you are travelling alone without a car, getting around could be a bit costly for your pocket.

Ushguli and Svaneti is one of my favorite place in Georgia - if you like to see amazing mountains, old georgian traditions, very good people (friendly, honest, brave and beautiful), delicous food - you must visit Svaneti. Ushguli is the place, where time is stopped - at the same moment you can see XII century and reality, you can see Shkhara and Lamaria, you can hike, you can visit beautiful places around. And if you choose the roud from Kutaisi to Ushguli via Latfari pass, its absolutely unbelievable
