"Plitvice Jezera is now in my top ten of the most memorable and incredible places I've ever travelled. It's STUNNING! Start early and as recommended by our host at Plitvice Lodge, start at Entrance 2 (St2) We did Hike H. Took the train cart up to the top of the lake terraces and then walked for a few hours to where we could take a short boat ride across the lake (P2 to P3) and continue on Hike H to enjoy the magnificent lower half of the terraced lakes and worked our way back to entrance 1 (St1) From there we hopped on the train cart back to Entrance 2. In all a 5 hour hike (it says between 4-6 hours for this one). You can stop along the way if you've packed a lunch but there is a place to purchase food and souvenirs at the boat jetty (P3) Definitely make a plan for which hike you want to take before you get to the park or talk with the park attendants who are helpful. There is so much to see here and the sights, lakes, and waterfalls are breathtaking. But starting early helps as the bus loads of people arrive after 9am it seems and the walkways become crowded."

The beautiful scenery of the river Gacka, its springs, the possibility of walking and jogging in nature or hiking in the nearby National Park North Velebit, are good reasons to come to this beautiful town in Lika. And if you find yourself in Otočac, be sure to stop by the pizzeria Ruspante in Sinac, in the immediate vicinity of the picturesque Majerovo Vrel. The location was perfect, once we parked our vehicle everything was was accessible. Short walk to #1 entrance, hotel provided shuttle to Luka Kuća restaurant which was great. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We really liked our stay here.

We really liked our stay here. We tried almost all restaurants and everything was really delicious, especially the seafood. Everything is nearby and close to the apartment, everything is accessible and it seems very child and pet-friendly in my opinion. We will surely come back here. The beaches are clean, the bars are nice, the restaurants are excellent, we loved it!

Beautiful little coastal township, stopped on our way...

Beautiful little coastal township, stopped on our way through to Split. Had a evening walk through the township watching sunset over the bay and then visited the Nehaj Fortress that was built in 1558 in the morning before we left. Loved the rocky terrain looking out to the Adriatic sea and the historical buildings.

This is a great place to base yourself when visiting the Plitvice NP. We only did a one night stay on transit between Zagreb and Zadar. There are lots of different sights to see, so wish we had a few days. There are caves and more waterfalls to see outside the National Park. The main township was much bigger than we expected. Amazing area. We ate at the family owned restaurant in a big orange building on the Eastern edge of Korenica, Restaurant Sapena. Fabulous grilled trout, and the best grilled meat platter ever.

Nice place to sta before or after visitin Plitvickie lakes, but to find good property for stay is very hard, good photos, but in reality not so good. checked several on the spot before stay, was disappointed on the most of them after comparing with booking. If you are planning to visit lakes my suggestion is to stay here before.

We were there in April and went just for Plitvic lakes, it was quite cold in the morning & evening, glad we had our puffer jackets. An absolute bonus was the gorgeous little village of Rastoke, stunning and the best food of our entire 2 weeks in Croatia.

The B&B Plitvica Hill was great.

The B&B Plitvica Hill was great. The owner was there to answer any questions and help you get settled in. The room are all new and very well set up. The beds were great. My wife and I would sleep to much.

Karlobag is a very nice small town by the sea.

Karlobag is a very nice small town by the sea. The road is marvelous, and the town is very authentic and pleasant. Unfortunately, it is largely infested by motorcyclists who invade the entire coast in great numbers, jam and noise-pollute the downtown same as create a lot of noise all around, making it quite difficult to enjoy the town and have a peaceful and quiet vacation. No, it's not a problem of Karlobag only, neither this comment is about "evil bikers". Having been a biker myself many years ago, I just want to warn those who expect to have some quiet time by the sea. This is NOT the place where you would be able to realize that need. And for God's sake, people! Stop polluting this fragile world - either with trash or with terrible noise. Stop revving your bikes, respect other people. Drive cars or bicycles instead - they are much less noisy.

Its a very calm little village. The water is crystal clear. The restaurants we tried were good. There is a store to buy the basic things. ATM is also availabke. There is a little island you can reach by swimming.

Novalja is amazing.

Novalja is amazing. Sure, it’s full of people in the high season since the famous Zrce Beach is nearby, but I’ll definitely come back next year. Not just for the beautiful sea and beaches, but also because we never had a chance to be bored.
