United StatesGreat place to stay transiting to Raja Ampat. Stayed here before and after my liveaboard experience in Raja Ampat. Early check in and room upgrade were fantastic! I would definitely stay here again. Everything a traveler needs. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, excellent included breakfast, super economical dinner buffet, location very near the airport, and friendly staff. There was even an ATM outside their front entrance! Thanks Vega Prime!

My daughter Amanda and her husband enjoyed Agusta and they said: Agusta is a dream. The island is full of untouched life. We were at Agusta for 5 nights for our honeymoon. All the cabins are beachfront, the staff is super friendly and always greet you with a smile. Marco and Mara, the owners, are very dedicated to their island. Mara personally checks every excusion/dive plan the night before with the guides. The food is amazing, breakfast is buffet style. Lunch is usually an italian dish. For dinner you get to choose usually between a seafood dish or a variation of chicken. The only feedback we have is for the salad. Lunch and dinner would always start with a small salad, always green and purple cabbage. It would be awesome to switch it up for a caprese salad or spinach. The guides are very knowledgeable and care about your safety. Our dive guide Olen was amazing, would definitly recommend him. We will be going back!

The food was very good, the staff were excellent and very helpful any time we needed assistance. Several times they went out of their way to help us. The house reef was fantastic and snorkeling here was definitely a big highpoint of our visit. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone traveling to this area.

Fabulous coral reef right in front of cabin. Good food, but basic and no choice. Nice staff. The deck outside the cabin overlooking the beach and ocean was great. Loved having the chairs, table and hammock.

Mansuar Island was one of the most beautiful places I...
Mansuar Island was one of the most beautiful places I visited in Raja Ampat. The island itself is peaceful, untouched, and surrounded by incredibly clear turquoise water. Every sunrise and sunset felt unreal.
The diving and snorkeling tours were absolutely amazing — healthy coral reefs, huge schools of fish, manta rays, turtles, and stunning underwater visibility everywhere we went. Famous spots like Friwen Wall, Sawandarek, and nearby reefs were truly breathtaking.
What I loved most was how natural and quiet everything felt. No crowds, just pure ocean vibes and unforgettable underwater experiences. Perfect destination for anyone who loves freediving, snorkeling, or simply being close to nature.

Sorong is the island you fly in and out of!
Sorong is the island you fly in and out of! Caught ferry to Waisai to stay on Waigeo island for 4 nights. Arrived at Sorong airport to be greeted by a plethora of people shouting taxi at us, and got one to the port to buy ferry ticket. You will get approached by many locals to be a porter, can be a bit intimidating. Clearly chewing betel leaves and red stains all over place including the ticket office, which was bit of a free for all. First time in Asia felt not completely safe, could be just the Papuans way but got left alone eventually.
Sorong itself was graffiti everywhere , rubbish everywhere and a bit run down.

The staffs are friendly, the excursion, day trip price is reasonable, foods are full board, meals are great with variety of fish, meat and vegetables, fruits.
Location is great and close to most attractions dive, snorkeling spots. The house reef is ok and easy to swim when high tide. Bungalow is huge with 2 stories and can easily accommodate 4-5 people, love the terrace, it’s spacious and spectacular view, we can spend all day on the terrace, lots of fishes to spot like baby shark, walking shark and some beauty bird

Abundance of marine life, slow pace. I’d recommend bringing a snorkel vest for Raja Ampat for visibility to boats and safety just in case caught in a current. Snorkeling here was just about as good as the diving in the area was. Recommend bringing a flashlight when traveling here. I had no problems with mosquitoes; nevertheless, I used the mosquito net every night. I recommend going to see the GIANT turtles about 20 minutes away by boat. There was a lot to do here honestly—-even if I just floated around the house reef.

Good idea to bring your own snacks. Travel torch handy. Natural sunblock and sunscreen. Your own snorkeling equipment. Packet of travel wipes, for face and hands. Remember to drink plenty of water, homestay has a dispenser in the room. All boat trips from homestay extra cost, Yeabuba Jetty a great snorkeling spot.

It was a long boat ride from Sorong.
It was a long boat ride from Sorong. About half way there it got very rough and the speed boat didn't reduce the speed, creating very uncomfortable and violent slams as the boat dropped 3 to 4 feet and hit the water hard. I don't recommend this trip for anyone with a bad back.

My tip for future guests would be not to overlook the reef right in front of the lodge. While there are many well-documented and incredible reefs to explore by boat, the house reef is just as beautiful and incredibly pristine. One of the best experiences is waking up with the sunrise and the sound of the waves, then simply stepping into the water from your lodge for an early-morning snorkel before breakfast.
Making this part of your daily routine allows you to truly slow down and appreciate the surroundings. Places like this are becoming increasingly rare, and being able to experience such untouched nature felt like an absolute privilege.

We were only in Sorong the night before boarding a liveaboard and the night after we returned. I would not recommend any additional time there. The call to prayer is extremely loud and constant. The streets are treacherous.

Embrace the food. Its tasty, its home cooked. Its local catch of the day, locally sourced fruits and vegetables. On one tour, Paulus our host pulled up to a boat and bought a fish. On our plates that evening!

i spent 3 weeks on kri , so i cant compare to other islands...
i spent 3 weeks on kri , so i cant compare to other islands except Arborek (kri reef far superior). other travelers say kri next best to Pam (Fam) for reef quality. you can walk the whole island on the beach at low tide except the southeast quadrant where there are no homestays. you can also walk to neighboring Mansuar Island at low tide; i snorkeled there twice - the reef extends all the way between islands - but it is at least a kilometer and maybe a bit far for most people. no stores of any kind on kri; Mansuar has a small shop at Yenbuba (not to be confused with Yenbuba Homestay on Kri) wher yu can buy sodas, bandaids, insect repellent, toothpaste, sweets. hike up the trail on a clear day to the top of the mountain where there is a good view of the west half of the island
